Getting screwed is not a fair title, getting an icewater roll is better . LOL The break and run pot was well over 50K, and they drew my name, when they draw in beloit, Dave Coles turns off all music, makes everyone stop playing, and about 100 people are around the table, so quiet you can hear a pin drop.
Whitey and i had been going every thursday, about 3 hours for him, and about 5 for me, i think we went like 16 weeks in a row. they draw my name, now i think its worth about 4500 a ball. they rack up 9 ball on a 9 foot diamond, to qualify you must pocket a ball on the break.
if u make a ball then you shoot in rotation, starting with the lowest ,.number ball on the table. if you miss you dont get anything, if lets say you make the 3 ball, now you must pocket the 1 ball to get paid for the 3 ball. lets say you pocket the 1 ball, you can stop or continue to shoot. but if you miss you get nothing.
ok, i break the balls, i make 2 balls on the break, the 1 ball is about 3 inches out of the top corner pocket. the cue ball stops about 2 feet away with a perfect angle to get to my next object ball and probably run out. im excited, its quiet, the croud is coming to life, expecting major damage to the pot. there comes the last ball rolling, the 8 ball, it passes the cue ball where it stopped , rolls at a perfect to almost freeze on the 1 ball, im dead hooked. i take my time, kick 2 rails up behind the 1, the 8 ball is heading table length towards the right corner pocket, the cue ball moves about 2 feet and im straight in on the 2 ball, the 8 hits titty and hangs in the corner pocket.
D, ave Coles called me last night and asked if i was coming to the high rollers tournament next weekend. i dont know if i can make it, but i told dave i would try. it pays great with the auction, they only take 48 entries so get your money in. i am the defending champion and i would love to make it, im working now so it may be tough. tournament is at the carom room in beloit wisconsin, good luck to all.
