Love that table...sweet!
The whole room is kinda badass. I love the wood/ brick.

Is it ground level? WHat room of the house it it?

Looks like a door to the outer World, but also looks like a living room.

Man, that's investment grade, Jive! Awesome. Mine should be up and running soon if the builder's accurate about a 9/26 completion date. Unfinished basement, no score counters, and just a cheapo flourescent to start, but I've waited 50 years for this, and it's nearly arrived...

Totally gorgeous setup!! I only question what appears to be cue storage running horizontally. I just wonder if over time, you'll experience some cue warpage...

There we go then but looking into it that is a "pool" table in NZ. I think our 8 ball champs are played on 7 foot tables with similar pockets

They are playing English 8 ball using 2 inch balls which are yellow and red.

And you get 2 shots for a foul.

This is the game Appelton, Melling and Boyes used to play in England.

Aye I went in and had a chat with the guys at the local pool shop (they manufacture the tables for NZ 8 ball champs).

The table I have is indeed a pool table but with snooker style pockets, which it seems is pretty standard here.

This is also pretty standard in the UK, Aussie etc (most of the Commonwealth countries). Also, as you said, it is played with 2 inch balls and 3 inch pockets.

The room is ground level and that door goes out to my side patio.
It's essentially a sunken living room. I have a rambler single level house that has a huge living room and dining room which is open to the pool room/sunken living room.

I love this thread.

I got to thinking, why not add mine to this tread.
I was waiting to complete my room 100% before I posted it here but decided , i'm close enough.
