Buffalo Billiards in Metairie, LA suffered some serious damage from the storm. A portion of the roof was compromised and large amounts of water and insulation found it's way into the pool room.
Half of the pool room is undamaged. The other half doesn't look good.
Hopefully the roof will be fixed in quick order. They are in the process of cleaning up the debris right now. No electricity available there just yet.
Hope all is well for you guys on the east side of the storm. I have a house and townhome in Broussard and apparently not much in the way of winds or rain (luckily). But electricity has been out at the house since yesterday morning about 11am. I hate pine trees! The guy who split the property into homesites about 30 years ago planted pine trees about every 25 feet for almost 1/4 mile. Now they are about 80 ft. tall and 18" in diameter, all right alongside the power lines. Every time the wind blows more than about 50 mph, the limbs break and knock a transformer. Still feel blessed that there was no real property damage as a result other than some spoiled food in the frig.

Hi Boss! I'm glad you and Joey made it through the worst of it. I was watching coverage the other day and my thougts were definitely with you and all the players in harms way. Sounds like it's gonna be some hard work getting things at The Worlds' Pool Hall back to normal. I hope all goes well and your back on the tables within the week.
Take care with much love from Grid Lock in Cali
Glad to hear that the Louisiana members of the World Famous Lock Society are safe.
WRONG!! Should have gone up the east coast and turned west through DC!
Lock Doctor,
Thank you very much for your concern. I hope all is well with you! Tell Ground Hog, that he still can get the 7 and out! Thanks again.
Many Regards,
Lock N load.
Sounds like lock might have alot of work to do and Joey too.
But I'm sure they have plenty of friends to help also.
Good Luck everyone in New Orleans with getting things back to normal.
Be careful and stay safe........
I wish to thank everyone that expressed their concern for JoeyA, myself and fellow Louisiana people that were in the way of this Hurricane. It is a great feeling to come to AZB and have friends concerned about you. It is so hot down here now without power no AC. I am sitting in the car typing this thank you. Thank God for friends.
Many Regards,
Lock N load.
Just got power back!!!!!!. I live in Plaquemines parish and have been out since the evening before the storm. Now I can get on my table again.
Alot of us have been without something we take for granted.
When something like this happens there are a whole lot of people doing without.
My car AC went out this morning on the way to my first match. The traffic kept me in the car for 1/2 hour. Then when I got to Skinny Bobs the place was packed and hot. To top it all off I had to play on the stream table with the hot lights. Ray kidded to me that they we'rnt very much hotter.
But on my way to my match I pictured you in your car with the laptop. No air conditioning and still keeping us informed about what is going on.
It might be days before you get your electricity back and your air. I only got a small sample here of without. I feel your pain............
hang in there.........Good Luck..........
