I'm just curious about how AzBilliards Discussion Forum members are posting these days.

When you post on AzBilliards Discussion Forum, are you posting from a computer (desktop or laptop) or a mobile device? A mobile device is a cellphone, smartphone, iPad, iPhone, Android, BlackBerry, tablet, et cetera.

This is a blind poll, so lurkers can feel free to vote and not get outed. ;)

I guess what I am interested in is if members like to participate on this forum when they're not sitting in front of a computer. :p

I'm on the verge of buying a new mobile device. I wanted to download Barry White's ringtone on Keith's cell phone, and I can't do it unless I have texting capability. Needless to say, we don't have Internet access or texting capability on our cell phone.

If you are on a mobile device, would you please share which one you use, the benefits of it, navigation/ease of use, et cetera? TIA to any and all responders to this poll. :smile:

Both. On my phone right now....and much of the daytime.

If you want an inexpensive mobile option, there are a number of basic tablets priced between $100 and $200 nowadays, or you can splurge and get an iPad for $400.

Doing this on a phone involves a device capable of data, and that can become expensive, tho there are some no-contract devices that have wi-fi capability as well, so you don't have to spend a bunch, if you're not gonna use it enough to justify the full data plans.

I use both. This is from my iPhone. I have no choice to edit posts or upload pictures, rep posts etc.

I use my mac, xoom, ipad, or android phone just depending where I am at, and how I am feeling.

Thanks. I may just do that. I'm so confused about which way to go. I definitely don't need a new bill, though.

I'm going to do a little thread drift here, but I am so much in awe right now. A coworker just sent me this link of NASA's first panorama of Mars. I cannot get over it. It's truly awesome and is a little unsettling at first glance: Mar's first Panorama shot from Rover

Be sure to hit FULL SCREEN. Wow! I feel like I'm on Mars -- Alone!

Can you imagine the Curiosity on Mars sending this to Earth? Makes the mobile devices we use seem so primitive. :o

Perhaps primitive by those standards, but have you ever seen what todays smartphones actually CAN do? Most of us barely tap the devices potential.

They really are amazing devices. They are a computer, camera, gps, and, oh yeah, a phone too. With those functions in one one device, a device that can integrate all those functions, it crazy.

Wanna know what constellation you're looking at, point your phone at it, with the right app, and it'll tell you. Can't remember the name of the song you're listening to, there's an app that will Id that for you, too. The examples are too numerous to mention. As I said, crazy.

I can edit and rep on my android, I haven't tried to upload a photo.

Wait, I did too, cuz there is currently video of me shooting, badly, here and I took that with my phone, as well.

I bet there is a way to do all of that on the iPhone, as well. I do not use tapatalk.

Hee-hee! Yep, you're right! I cannot tell a lie! :thumbup:

When Mickey goes to sleep, we all tiptoe around, not wanting to wake him up. It's just like having a baby. I was trying to snap this one, and I got the evil eye from Keith, as if to say, "Don't make any noise. Can't you see he's sleeping now?" :p

Mostly from my laptop, but I've read and posted from my iphone as well. Did it initially with normal Safari, then paid for and installed Tapatalk and found that much easier. Now I check it and post even more from the iPhone.

I use Tapatalk on my iPad. Mainly because it's convenient but also because I want to avoid any possibility of malware on my main Windows 7 PC.

Sure would like to see a Tapatalk update, though. Maybe support for emoticons and polls. :cool:
 
Desktop, {right now} laptop, and iPhone 4 with TapaTalk. Mostly from the Desktop unless I'm on the road and not on vacation. Then it's the iPhone, vacation will be from the laptop, probably.
