As some of you know The Legends and Champions Pool Tour will be visiting 10 different towns all over the south featuring Johnny Archer and Nick Varner. I have done this before where I do a little write up on how the tour is going and if anything fun happens etc. Here we go from the very beginning.
So yesterday my trip started at 6am getting up, showered and finish packing for my flight to Atlanta, where the Tour is set to start tonight at Marietta Billiard Club with a show and a clinic tomorrow. Not much to tell really until I get to Atlanta as all I did was get ready, finish packing and sat on a plane for three and a half hours.
I land and call JA who is supposed to be picking me up and he says "I thought you were coming in at 5.30pm (I arrived at 4pm) I am not sure if I can make it at that time" Now I really don't want to sit around for an hour and a half waiting and certainly don't want to pay for a 45 min cab ride to the pool room. He heard the dissapointment in my voice and said "I'm just kidding, I'm in the cell phone parking lot. just call me when you get your bags" Phew! I already know that he hasn't been able to mess with my head in a couple months and so I know I got some head games in store. Johnny picks me up with George the Manager at Marietta Billiard Club. On the drive we decide tha twe should just go to the pool room and have a few drinks and some dinner and then head home to visit with Mrs Archer (The Boss) By 10pm I am beat and ready to go to bed. This is silly because the time change has put me 3 hours a head and so it is actually 7pm. So we get back to JA's house and visit with Melanie for a while and watch a little tv. I go out to the patio to smoke and when I come back in Melanie asks if I stepped in anything because as she put it "That little dog craps everywhere" Now to continue this story you have to know that Melanie is very house proud and even though the house is spotless she still says things like "Sorry about the dishes in the sink, I just havn't hada chance to get to them" there is like 2 coffee cups in the sink and things like this are not cool. So I retired to my room and up pack a little and notice a pile of dog crap on my bedroom floor. Oh no, I can't get rid of it as I will throw up. I can't tell Melanie as she would be devastated that a guest in her home would have a situation like that. So I decided to just let it go until the morning and have JA get it in the morning.
The morning comes and I wake up at 10am and have had an amazing 10 hrs sleep. I go to the bathroom and then hear JA yelling for me and he goes into my room and I hear him yell to Melanie "Oh man, Harley (the dog) crapped in Mark's room, either that or Mark crapped in his room." I come downstairs and make sure that I explain "Hey I didn't do that it must have been the dog" Just so everyone was clear. I am not sure how Melanie is gonna take this news but JA has already told her so its out of my hands. Melanie looks at me and shakes her head and says "He's stupid, he does that to me too" What??? the dog?? "No Johnny has fake dog crap that he likes to plant around the house" So end of the day JA has not missed a chance to play with my mind.
Nick, is driving down to meet us and start the tour and should be here around 3pm and will go to the pool room and set up his shots for tonight. We will probably just meet him there and have dinner at the pool room and be ready for the show at 7.30pm. So if you are in the area please stop by and say hi.
