12 Year Old Girl Pool Player On CNN News

She might be good, why is it that in the clip they never show
her making a shot though. That i don't understand.

Good luck to her!

I was the TD at the 24th Annual BEF Junior Nationals this past summer at Romines in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. April Larson has a great personality and plays extremely well. She won the 14 Under Girls Championship and will be representing the U.S. in December at the World Junior Championships in Germany. Go April we are all cheering for you!!!

Glasses ?

She wears glasses to play & I just can't seem to do it. She's 12 & I'm 59. Something about that does not seem right to me.

I wonder if she lines up her shots using her 'dominant' lense inside glass frame?

I've seen her shoot at the BEF Nationals, although she is good for her age, she is not close to the boys in her age group. And no-where near as good as the "pool shakrs" as the writer said. She's about a mid to low C player.

You go girl.

This is a good story.
keep up the great work and best of luck.

i know what we should do. we should email the poor girl endless conversations on BHE and CTE bs until her love for the game dies and she quits.

the girls got talent. it warms my heart to see a kid that young playing. especially a girl. she's gonna be a stone cold killer on the table when she gets older. if she keeps it up.

April is a very down to earth girl and her family is a great group of people. I played a few racks with them yesterday and threw a couple back with her dad.

Reminds me of a girl I met in the nineties. She was 17-18 at the time. She was running 9 ball racks left, right and center. I thought I'd eventually see her on TV...

She played at my local pool hall for about a year then suddenly stopped showing up. About 2 years down the road, I met her in the subway... She had become a nun!!! I still can't believe it.

Let's hope she keeps it up. Our beloved "sport" needs young blood more than ever.

Cheers
