A Tribute To The Most Beautiful Cue I've Ever Seen

Yesterday, I joked with fellow az'er "Q" Protectors over the supersonic ball polisher he made and for those who haven't seen the thread, I urge you to have a look. It's just amazing.

I kidded him about being insane over pool and welcomed him to the fraternity.

So, my latest entry that I'm sending into the continuing membership committee is this:

I have a room at my house with a high ceiling and a large mirror I'm not particularly fond of. The space above the mirror has always looked vast and empty to me. So I was thinking what can I do about it -

My mind, of course, went to cue designs and naturally I thought of the cue that, imo, is the prettiest design of all time. The black boar pictured below.

I have a friend who is an accomplished tattoo artist and I was at a bar last week where there was a huge ceiling mural painted by him of a grateful dead album cover that was really impressive.

I got in touch with him, talked it over, and I now have key elements of the prettiest cue ever on my wall. Switched out much of the silver for gold since the room has a lot of gold and red and I think it came out good.

At least there's no longer a sea of vanilla up over the mirror.

So is my 'pool-insanity membership renewed for another year? :grin-square:

not sure if this will stay for long but it's definitely there for now!

best,
brian kc

Brian,

Your membership would only be renewed if you actually owned the cue in question!!!!

We've got a room here at the home where you can draw anything you want on the walls, Brian.
Seriously, I like what you've done to the place.

I saw that cue up close and personal at the cue show in Chicago last week. Friggin incredible. I was gonna buy it but we were a little far apart on the pirce :)

But nicest cue I've ever seen !!!!

i think you deserve a lifetime membership:grin:

Brian that's just Beautiful! Now that's a real compliment to the guys at BB, putting a design element from a great cue into your living space! I think it really adds something very positive to the room and ties it's coloring together even better than you already had.

Do you own one of those BB masterpieces? LOL, either way most cue crazy people just get a matching case or custom jps. You went for a room! :bow-down::bow-down::bow-down:

You get my vote for cue nut of the year! I'm jealous I didn't think of it first! Hmmm...I have some bare walls....

Good shooting to you! and thanks for sharing that!

Kevin

Very impressive cue, and room.
But I was also wondering, where's the pool table?

As Scott pointed out, it's in the dungeon.

thanks for the nice words guys, and yes, the matching tramp stamp is in the works. I'll get pics up soon.

p.s. thanks also to dr9ball & rrfireblade for helping me to post the bb cue pics.

I'm glad someone knew of a way to do this, I've never tried before so I had no idea. Great looking cue!!

I saw this at the WCCS as did many others and got to meet Steve Piesner for the first time. The cue is superb and Steve is a real gentleman! Between his Black Boars and his Manzino cues its enough to make anyone envious.. Thanks to Steve for bringing some of his collection for us to enjoy.

Brian,

I see that eight ball on the lower shelf. It better not be one of those funny ones. You know, the balls with added side weight. If it is, I'm telling Sean so you can't pull his chain when he stops by !!!!

Can't let my years in audio go without commenting on the speaker placement. No chance to put the center speaker in the center? Anyway, the room and table look great! You lucky devil. Here's a picture of my Diamond table . Only one I can afford!

In the places where I play the most beautiful cue is the one which is neither light like a feather nor heavy as if it were made of stone, over 4 ft long, more or less straight and balanced, with a smooth, not (too) damaged shaft and a tip with at least a few particles of chalk on it. When I find one of those I feel like I was God gifted
