I know you are good people so I know Zach must be good people but I thought if he doesn't already have this skill, you should share this "secret" with him. Make sure he learns how to treat "customers" and "non-customers" with respect. Often a non-gambler will hook you up with another gambler if they think you are decent people to gamble with and sometimes it is easy action. Being respectful can make a lot of difference in the current action that he gets, the repeat action he gets and any new action that he might get. Besides being respectful to everyone (until they treat you otherwise) is just a great way to live a life.
Some people occasionally don't mind risking their cash in a match to a stranger and losing their dough if they are treated with a modicum of respect, before, during and after the match.
It will take him a long way, not just in the pool world.
Just make sure he doesn't get too "soft" in the process.
