Tar 30 svb/daz

I agree with westcoast. Watching Shane play over and over again has gotten tired. TAR knows this, it has been brought up numerous times. He is their boy though

Even with the "freeroll" format, I think his one of the only ones that will consistently step up to play.

Why won't any one step up for the gauntlet? Race to 100. I love to watch the grind!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

O well, I'll take what I can get. I need my TAR fix! I've been having withdrawals for months!

Thanks Justin and crew!!!!!!!!!!!!!

when on tar you had to pay 10 k to be in a
match who played the most matches?
it was svb for sure.
so i think he should get to play the most
matches now that they are a free roll.

agreed 110%

In addition, SVB is #1 player in the world RIGHT NOW. You want to see a title fight, or an under card?

If any one at TAR reads this, I would love to see something off the beaten path. Some of the up and comers, I'd love to see Donny Mills Vs. Corey Duel, rack your own 9 ball, bring the soft breaks?

Chris: I feel slow for not getting this... why is shane getting a free roll at the money? I thought he bet his own?

Also, shouldn't anyone who comes up with cash get a shot, free roll or not?

I think shane is on TAR a lot because people will pay to watch him. Even though there are other guys who shoot at his level, he's the one with the 'fan club'. For every guy who's sick of seeing him, ten more reach for their wallets automatically whenever he's in a TAR match. Not hating, I'll be one of them.

Would like to see him win one but even if he doesn't, he doesn't really have anything to prove.

PS: hanso I'd love to see that. Shane vs. Donny was an interesting look at soft breaking and I think Donny feels he can win that match if it ever happens again. I don't think we've seen good soft break action since then.

Sorry, DAZ is the best rotation player out there today.

A tad surprised to hear he is back on the TAR train, but I guess there is a massive difference between races to 25 and to 100.

I understand some people are tired of Shane but you have to remember two key things:

1. They are a small vocal minority in my experience. Matches with Shane in them never lose money. If you are trying to keep a business alive this is not a minor point.

2. Shane just won the US Open in dominating fashion. He is hot right now.

I'm a fan of the series of shorter races. Some like the grind to 100, which is fine. I would only pay for the last day though on occasion.

It is nice to see other players on TAR, but who can complain about SVB really? He is one of the best in the world, period, as is DAZ. It will be a great match for sure. I'll tune in for this one. Thanks TAR...

I'm not convinced there is THE best, just one of several that are the best on any given day.

SVB would be the favorite in the race to 100 format, but it's even in races to 25 IMO. I'll be tuned in. Johnnyt

I was thinking @ how you evaluate matches as a for profit company. I'm sure you've looked at a ton of variables when assessing who and when. The specific players involved surely moves the needle more than any other variable. That just leaves you @ 184 other variables to factor in next. I trust this PPV will bring you some extra Brit hits.

Looking forward to it. Pardon if I missed it, but have you announced the dates yet?

January 18-20. Weekend after Turning Stone and before Derby.

Not to mention the fact that SVB steps up against anyone when asked! Unlike many others with demands, etc.

If that's the case, what kind of weight can I get to take SVB?

Better find someone to bet with first...

How about for funzies, we wager our signature. If i win you must put

"Jhanso18 is right and I am wrong. His vast pool knowledge and ability is beyond repute." >>> for 1 month.

If I lose, I will enter what ever witty quip you can come up with?

I eagerly await your reply!!!!

Dang... I'll be in Vegas at the very end of January for world furniture market, so won't be able to attend. But I'll be glued to PPV. Maybe when in Vegas I can catch me one of dem dere boner ball matches instead. ;)

Best of fortune Justin/TAR on a record breaking PPV; you deserve it. This one promises to go down to the wire late Sunday. Is there anything us AZers can do to help spread the word? Maybe we can push ground swell to get us working our local pool halls to air it and post flyers and turn into a special event with specials, etc? Have you seen more halls doing this kind of thing? Any advice? Do you have any artwork they could access and print? Perhaps customize? Maybe start a thread oriented towards that end? Do you have an email list you could do an e-blast to?

Argueably the two best 8-ball players on the planet who have never done battle, playing 10-ball....

Can't wait. SVB hasn't won a TAR match in a while. He is due and is coming off the US Open win. He is going to be crushing it. Daz my get spanked here.
