Here's a pic of the USA team today at York Hall (from my pal who's there). He says Bob Jewett sends regards, CJ is pretty much invisible and Johnny and Shane seem to be the team leaders. Johnny got a lot cuter since the last time I saw him... :)

CJ is doing his job with Hatch in the match right now, talking him off the ledge. Melling is amazing, slicing through tough racks like butter.

Funny how professional snooker seems to get by just fine without shot clocks, and yet in pool they're common.

"Get by just fine" is not the opinion of some in the UK, judging by the comments I've heard about the UK Championships which went on until midnight. I would say that O'Sullivan and Trump get by just fine without a clock. Not to mention Tony Drago, who was at the Mosconi Cup last night.

Snooker has had a problem with slow play for most of it's history.
Robbie Foldvari, an excellent player in the 80's, was warned so much
that he started bringing his lawyer to matches to intimidate the referees.
....and it worked!

He was only there Monday and Tuesday - I only got that one pic plus one more of Johnny (too grainy to post)... :(

He'll hear about it when he returns.
