Another PM

He's a small time scammer that thinks he's smart. The problem with running that scam from a small town is that it makes him totally bustable. And the real problem for him is the penalties are HUGE for such small gains. If he was smart, he'd at least run scams that paid well and make it worth it.

Just a small-time punk and maybe not so smart.

You can ban him but he'd just be back under his 14th handle.

Kevin

You're right Kevin, but we can get his name out there, so no one will ship to him again. Here's another pm from him. Not man enough to face this Thread. He's calling this a witch hunt, it's more like a thief awareness thread than a witch hunt. I want my cue back, don't get me wrong, but mostly I want this stop this guy from doing it to anyone else.

When all else fails take the pitty road. WOW to you and your witch hunt! I HAVE NOTHING TO WORRY ABOUT AS I DO NOT HAVE NOR SEEN YOUR PACKAGE!

Why not face your accuser Chris Wood?

After 10 years of dealing in cues, why would I choose you to be a thief? Why don't you call me or take my calls, why don't post on this thread if you have nothing to hide.
Here's his last post:

Chris Wood: cuefan86:
Funny you say your not giving up what makes you think i will??? You call it torment i call it not giving up. I have nothing to hide due to not having you package or seeing you package!

The USPS takes postal fraud very, very seriously. I have been involved with them in the past and was successful in my case. I received all my money back and the bad boy went to jail in Lake County Il. He stole lots of money and it cost him dearly. I reccomend contacting the police dept in the town were the delivery went and informing them as well because they will work with the USPS to develop the case. It's easier once it is assigned to one investigator and keep meticulous records of all communications and everything related to the deal.

He will love the postmasters frankness.

They issue arrest warants. He can lol that in jail lol.
Nick :)

And now we get to the last reason I always ship USPS. Their enforcement arm is real and exists and takes it all seriously. This is a petty crime, that because it happened through USPS, carries weighty penalties. Really not so smart.

Greg, just playing the what if game here...
Is it remotely possible he really has not taken possession of the cue?
Perhaps a neighbor received it, a kid grabbed it off the step, something else, etc.?

I know you say you shared a phone call with him afterwards, and he said he liked the cue. That's the part that's just hard to get over. If he actually told you that, why would he bother saying anything to the contrary to you now (even in private). Silence would be the path of such a thief (scammer). Saying the opposite now would just be an obvious give away, not to any of us, but certainly between yourselves. And that's all that matters in the end.

I guess the short version is trying to figure out whether this guy may be a scammer, or just an absolute foolish braggart thief. If he were a scammer, he's already mis-stepped. And if he is the latter, then justice will be even more deserved.

Based on how this has played out thus far, he does not seem like an intelligent scammer. And that is to your benefit.

Again, I'm just hoping there is just a mix up and your cue shows up, on your door or his... however, the fact that you've not received your end of the trade only goes to further discredit the fella. Not good...

Best of luck!!!

Yeah that Greg talked to the guy and the guy said he loved the cue kinda makes the guy look bad. That is, as long as you believe Greg, and everybody here is more than inclined to (I am).

Kevin

yeah, me too. Like I said, just playing the what if game...

meanwhile, I just got a threatening PM from our anonymous friend MoneyTeam... he wants to eat me...

ME TOO. He's gonna beat me up too (if'n I don't get in line).

He skipped straight by that play you some pool deal and went right to beat me up.

Kevin

Not to mention, where is the cue that he supposedly shipped? I guess both cues got lost and he just isn't even worried about trying to get it back. He isn't trying cause he was gonna f%#k over Greg from the get go and never shipped a cue. Guy is a real POS.

Greg, if you insured the cue for 200 or more, he had to sign for it anyway. That is the USPS policy.

If he has not seen the cue. And he is truly innocent, why would he act so incredibly defensive? If he was innocent he should just simply say, I never recieved the cue and Id appreciate the removal of the threads and clearing my name. Lets see what we can do?

His behavior shows he is a scammer and hes trying to scare howard[greg?] into not pursuing this further.

I didnt see anyone point this out.

As well is the money guy one of his other personas? Or just some random guy?

Why Dildo Won't Post in This Thread
by Kevin Brewer

Dildo won't post in this thread because 7000 members will say:

a) why did you call Greg and say you were happy with the cue ?

and

b) why didn't you ship your cue to Greg?

Dildo will say, "I never called Greg and told him that".

6,999 members will say "we don't believe you we believe Greg"

I won't name the one person that will agree with Dildo.

Thanks

Kevin

I'm stunned by your response to me trying to simply offer encouragement to a good guy! First of all, by questioning what I said you seem to be offering a complete waste of humanity (cuefan86) some comfort.
That flies in the face of the nearly 100% support for Greg on this thread. So, rather than argue my position on the thread, I'll try to reason with you here like two gentlemen. Nick Serdula apparantly had problems with him: kbooks3 mentioned bad deals he's had in had in the past; barnacues correctly pointed out that NO signature is required for proof that item was delivered;
that rings real true for me (I'm retired postal); barnacues also pointed out the serious nature of mail fraud which postal inspectors are VERY concerned about; barnacues pointed out that in his rant cuefan86
threatened to destroy evidence. I have no interest in this situation other than my sincere belief in Greg Howard's integrity. I had dealings with him and he was beyond professional. Cuefan86 was beginning to sound worried about police and federal intervention and if that is what it takes to make him return cue to Greg, so be it. By the way, at the top of wanted for sale threads fast lenny in May 2008 posted "stolen cues" I was hoping in vain that AZ members LIKE YOU
might think that's a good starting point to prevent things like this OR today's thread "beware of zn418 aka zack pooler" Another thief! Last month, I saw a warning about "thief" brian kozy, screen name mzbhavnhrl. I rest my case and hope you are not upset by my reply, it's just my 2 cents about doing the right thing! Enjoy your holidays!

I've never posted this member, but he is responding and calling himself "me" in reference to posts I made to "Money Ball". so I reply

"John

You have 2 AZ handles?

Thanks

I hate to see threads like this and I hate it even more when it happens to somebody as honorable as Greg. Seems like there are more negative threads than positive lately. Makes me not want to list anything for sale.

I wish there was a way to get to the bottom of this and come to a conclusion where everybody gets what they deserve. There just isn't a place for even one of these bad deals on AZB.

The only bright spot in the whole ordeal are people like Kevin posting to try to educate us on the way things work or should work. He is also right on in my book.

Thanks. You can do cue deals pretty safely when you are buying or selling. Its trades (like this one) that are tricky.

Thanks again

Kevin
