Build a champion in a month or 2. Is this possible?

How this nitty crap is going on i do not understand. I guess the class Gene has is not rubbing off on his protege.

Harsh man. Maybe he just wants to be careful with Gene's money. If you've been keeping track of the thread he's gotten into a few games already that Gene doesn't like, and I believe he's slated to play a thousand dollar set today, so I don't know that nitty is the word I'd use.

Side Action

Hey everyone I just got off the phone with Ryan 5 min ago he will be heading down with in an hour or so so game on. Im looking to get a lilttle side action on this match if anyone is interested I already talked to Ryan about it if he loses you can collect my bet from him if he wins you can pay our bet to him looking to bet up to $1000 but anything will do should be a good game hoping to catch some of the match on the stream after i get off work. Best of luck to boths sides should be a great match.

I've seen some of the biggest pool gamblers ANYWHERE, postpone ahead sets AND even discontinue playing the ahead set altogether just because they became too difficult to win for either party and don't measure a person's intestinal fortitude or skill as much as it does there endurance.

Ahead sets are fine but when they become purely an endurance test or a medicine war, they aren't worth playing, imo.
Last night a seasoned road warrior asked me to play, offering me heavy weight. I agreed to the bet and set and then when a table opened up, he changed his mind. Then later on when another table opened up, he decided he wanted to play that same match and this time I said no thanks. It wasn't about the table either. I just don't like getting jacked around. He's not a nit for backing out the first time. He just changed his mind is all. It's all good. You can't force someone to bet their money if they don't want to. Calling them a nit simply means that you didn't have your way with them. Lol

As always, it's about whose ox is getting gored.

Love this post. Greenie to you sir!

No, but you might be forced to wear an oxen yoke. Think of it as the AZB version of the old stockades.

Also, players who have never lost a game themselves (as in they didn't win) because.....

....."the table isn't level.....it's too wet in here......it's too hot in here.....my opponent got every roll.....I got nothing but bad rolls.....he cheated.....the bet wasn't high enough for me to focus.....8-ball is for old women....."........etc. ad nauseum should also be subject to the AZB yoke.

Sometimes you just lose, folks. Wait, what was the question?

Someone said it was a yoke to think you can make a champion in a month or two.

Enjoy!

Zack won the first set for $1000. 9 ahead 9 ball.

And Ryan won the next set of 10 ball 10 ahead. for $1000

At this point they were even so they played one set of 9 ball race to 9 and then one set of 10 ball race to 9.

They each won 2 of these.

Both guys are dead even for the night. Big Dogs was the winner.

They are going to start tomorrow at around 3:00.

Should be streamed again.

don't know how much they will play for. That will be negotiated tomorrow.

Need some sleep.

My champion is getting tougher though.

2 men a van and the road........

I have an idea. How bout they play 2 out of 3 races for the cash and then move on, winner or loser?

All this quitting even business ain't good for nothing! imo.

That's funny Ray!

I think Zach just needs to learn how to win when he's up. Seems he breaks even after being up quite often and that would indicate to me that he might be letting up once he has a lead. Not on purpose of course...

Just my $.02

I had this same exact conversation with Zack last night.

He had won the first set and was up 7 in the second only needing 2 games to put it away. If He wins the second set I'm pretty sure it's over.

A winner needs to learn how to win. How to put the fork in.

Zack will get there and that is what this is all about. Teaching him how to win.

How to be a champion.

Being a champion is so much more than just poking the balls in.

Being a Champion person is all such a huge part of this whole process.

You are so right there Mr Okie. Your insight is spot on.

Today we're going down there and practice putting the fork in.

The last set last night Zack was down 3 games and Ryan was on the hill.

Zack ran out the last 3 Perfectly. If he can do that when he's desperate, he can do it for the win. This is what he needs to channel.

Today is going to be Pool School.

Learning how to put in the fork.

Today the match should be starting around 3:00 again.
