World 15 ball?

Well with the success of 8, 9, 10 balls being played, are we seeing a change to 15 balls? Just like the 10 balls whoever pockets the 15 ball is declared the winner. It would be a dream seeing this happen with such great talenst all around us.

This would definitely change the game of pool, indeed a true and gifted talent would emerge from this game is ever played.

Then this being played on a 5'x10' foot table, that would be great to watch.

Am just dreaming of this event to take place :) :) :)
 
agreed. would love to see it happen. seen a few good rotation videos on YouTube(there's one with a crazy three rail kick by Reyes) but that's about it.

I like your thinking joyren. I've been saying 15 ball needs to be played in tournaments in the USA for years. I believe it needs to be started as a sub tournament at one our bigger tournaments. If it started by copying the 10 ball on 10 foot table at Diamonds Southern Classic and was steamed at a fair price i believe it would go over big quickly. Need top players from around the world to help kick it off. Johnnyt
 
Personally, I wouldn't walk across the street to watch this game.....
....too many dead balls.
I WOULD watch 15-ball rotation.
 
Guys, either way be it a 15 ball rotation or 15 wins the game

For a 15 ball rotation first to reach 60 points win but this would still be easy for world class players,.
 
Hope the rules make it so that a miss is BIH for incoming player. I see a lotta 3foul losses, if it a win is decided solely on the 15b.

You will see the best of the best here mate, the race will be shorten like 5 game wins.
I am also thinking that way, some wins gonna be on safety battles

A lot of us grew up playing rotation, and I've went through phases of practicing the "15 Ball" game you referred to. The problem with that type of game is the "dead balls" which was already mentioned.

The 10 Ball game is fine on a 10' Table, the deciding element is pocket size and "cut". I'm all for the game being more challenging than today's "version", with fast cloth it's just too easy to appreciate. imho

And you are making a distinction between traditional rotation (61pts) and a game played like 9ball, only with all 15 balls, right?

I think the latter is no good for competition.
 
I personally think Straight Rotation (61) would be awesome on a 10 footer, especially played by players that know the game. Personally, I like it better than 1 pocket, especially as a spectator (watching 1 pocket isn't my bag...just can't hang).

Yeah, I agree that rotation/ 61 is the way to go, (though of all pool that i can watch, 1p is my favorite.)

I agree about the 1-pocket, B-B.
It's like walking through a park and seeing a chess game...if you play chess,
how can you not stop and see what you would do?

In the old action rooms, the highest-rolling 1-hole game got the most sweaters.

I like this idea but I would like there to be some sort of carrot to make them finish off the entire rack. Maybe the match is scored cumulatively instead of by the rack.

Just thinking out loud here...
