A gift from my son to house all of the shafts for my Bender Cue along with a training cue.:D

The display case is mounted on the wall in my office for easy access. Came with key locks but no need for those. I really just needed a place to store all of the extra shafts. I might even have room for another cue or two.:smile:

I got a Cuisinart mac daddy food processor and a griddle of sorts. I guess it's a hint I should cook more...
 
Mother in Law got me a Table Top pool table (2 foot x 1 foot) that Ive always wanted. After seeing the 2 year old pool playing prodigy I figured my sons can get a head start by using it. Hell Ill probably will be using more then them :lol:

Also got a set of ornament pool balls set from my sister. I had a set from target about 3 years ago but most of them busted in the move back home. So it was a great gift knowing they got replaced. Thank you lil sis :wave2:

Last but not least I recieved a really heavy box from my older sister. I opened it up to find a brand new set of Elephant styled pool balls. Ive always wanted to have a set and now I have one. Thanks big sis :thumbup2:

LOL. Yeah the photo makes it looked warp but they're all straight. :D

But, I'll still take the weight. ;)

Good question. I think a little different than some people. First off, I think shafts are like automobiles. There's one made special just for your style of driving/playing. You just have to find it.

I will probably sell some of the Bender shafts one day. I can't and don't play with all of them. Most of them have been sitting in cue cases and now they get a chance to sit in a display case.

I like testing out different shafts to see how each of them perform. I've been on a quest for a lot of years. Sure, if you can play decent, you can play decent with just about any shaft. It's not the arrow, it's the Indian, they say. But I think they're not entirely correct. Each shaft has different properties and with the different tapers, come different playing characteristics. Some of them more important to some than to others.

I'm more concerned with performance than I am looks and just as long as I think there is a better piece of equipment out there, I will keep trying them. Unlike some people I don't think the regular trying of different equipment hurts a person's ability to play at their highest level. Of course it's critical for one to become completely syncronized with their playing cue and shaft of choice but for me, it doesn't seem to hurt my level of play to experiment here and there. I'm still a banger. :D

Bang away...and I don't think your shaft collection is that unique. THhose shafts are important things.

I have 6(?:o:grin:) or more shafts for my playing cue and a couple of buds
who do, as well.

I don't care if the collars match. In fact, I prefer when they don't.

I thought I was the only knuckle-head that bought several shafts for his one playing cue. :D
 
My girls bought me the Byrnes book; 350 shots all pool players should know...too bad I already have it; at least I bought myself a new 4x8 cheap case and had a predator soft tip installed on my Z2, :)
 
No pool related goodies this year for me. Wife and I put a limit on our spending as it was getting out of hand in past years.

I got a digital weather forecaster and a Dehydrator. Gonna make lots of beef jerky in the new year. If the forecaster says -32, I ain't going outside.

Of course, thats an item that you lucky guys closer to the equator probably wouldn't use too much.

Oh, and some Channel. Gonna be the best smelling gut at the hall today.
