One of a kind GC3, Rick Shellhouse's new table.

The level of craftsmanship is just so remarkable... One day I do hope to own a table installed by you. Don't know how that's gonna materialize considering you're halfway around the world from me but a man can dream...one day....

hmmm, then Diamond's must be against BCA rules too I guess, because this GC3 has the exact same slate/pocket and rail specifications as a brand new Diamond 9ft ProAm...used in most all major tournaments today;)

That's a great job there Glen. And the work you did on that Delmo was off the hook.

I said I was not sure. I just vaguely remmember seeing a diagram & it looked like, to my memory, that more ball than that was required to protrude beyond the rail. I certainly was not critcizing. I'm probably mistaken.

Table

That is defenitly a masterpiece of your work.
You got your thinking cap on that's for sure.
I can't figure out why no one has asked about the castings&levelers yet..
Are those one of the sets bobbys been powder coating? They look great on a GCIII.
Very nice, thanks for sharing

That's OK, the BCA spec's are not really paid attention to much by any table manufacture any more anyway, Brunswick's Metro 9ft's have to wide of rails according to the BCA spec's as well....like really, what does the width of the rails have to do with playing pool:rolleyes:

I rebuilt the rails for that 9ft Delmo on the sidewalk in front of my customers house. Several people walking by stopped and watched for a while, and it was well over 100 degrees in the daytime:thud:

Glen you are such a jerk!!!!! Here I am getting ready to set my Brunswick Moderne up and I find this friggin thread!!!!!

You have any idea how long it's gonna take me now??? Everything you did here is off the hook.....

I just got my poplar frames and am SOOOOOO glad I didn't start work on the project yet... Granted most of what you have done is over my head but I am patient and resourceful....

I'm still skeered to death of the rails and subrails but now you've added all sorts of twists and turns to my adventure LOL

Great work all the way around

Chris

Heard bobby would do a swap out deal on powder coating castings on most GC's, there's a core charge but in the end it's less than $100 if i remember correctly, I think jay had shared pics of a table with the gold crown powder coated castings&feet that bobby baked... Either way' they both look fantastic!

How do you like the fit of the brunswick drop pockets on a diamond slate? Did you have to trim to fit?
Are you messing with us? Is there a star washer on the bottom side of the slate sill/liner with no bolt/stud in it??are you deifying gravity too??

Hahaha yeah and it only took you a week... I'll be lucky to get this thing done by Christmas next year.....

Wish the economy wasn't in the crapper would be the nuts to be able to pay you to come out this way... Daniel Autry keeps trying to get me to bite the bullet and give you a call but the old lady would have me eating beenie weenies and sleeping on the couch for months...

May talk to you about doing the rails at least.. you gonna be at DCC this year or on the road???

Chris

If I haven't already taken off for New Orleans by the time DCC comes around, yes I'll be there....but, I think the delivery run is going to come around first:D but at least it's warmer down there:D

Mr. Glen,

My son used a soft bees wax when setting up my old Sport King at his house & it is showing in the form of a darker discoloration on parts of the seams. Do you have any easy, quick fixes?

Best Regards,

Once you start a project, you see it through and you do it right. That's a super quality for a craftsman and getting rarer and rarer to find.

Slate wax is a blend of wax's mixed together, reason being...so they don't absorb into the cloth, or just drip through the slate seams. What your son used was not designed to be used on the slates, therefore some of it has been absorbed into the cloth so, the wax stain is there to stay as there's no way to clean it out at this time, without also cleaning out the rest of the wax still under the cloth still in the seams...sorry:embarrassed2:

OK...so that is 'what he can do'.

You'd prob weave some new cloth while driving to the next job, wouldn't you? No answer necessary, ya snake!
