If anyone is going for less than the 9 days I have a way of getting a reduced room rate. I am staying for five days and I am paying $129 for Tuesday the 29th and $99 for the next four nights.

Still tough for poolplayers to pay that much for rooms, glad my buddy gambles alot in casino and rooms r free.
After wanting to get down there since I first heard about it (only 3 years ago, when I started playing), I'm finally going!!! Room is rented with a friend for the 31st through the 2nd! I'm so excited!!! I think it's probably a good thing I wont have my tax return before then - I could see it all going away to various vendors and tables. heh
I really wanna bring my cues, but I'm not sure I'd ever get around to actually hitting a ball - from what I hear, there's so much entertainment going on around every corner I'll be dizzy just trying to keep up! heh

bring your cues, you will regret it if you don't.
If nothing else you might get a chance to knock a few around on one of the 10 footers.

This. I made the mistake of not bringing my cues the first time I went thinking that I wouldn't be able to play and I regretted it big time. How can you be in that environment and resist the urge to hit some? We've always been able to find some place to play after hours.
I am playing in the 9 ball. I played two years ago. Hopefully, I'll get a better draw than the last time. My first match was against Earl Strickland and my next match was against Mike Davis. Fun matches and I didn't play bad (7-5 Earl and 7-4 Mike) but went two and out. I did meet some great people a lot of them were AZer's. But I would definitely take your cues. Like someone said earlier, you'll be kicking yourself if you don't.

Excellent point! Guess I'm bringing my cues (see the note about not having the tax refund LOL). Now, if things go well, I might see about upgrading the break cue, if the numbers match up.

Stay excited Johnny you are going to love it, its the only thing better then az billiards! you will have a great time and you will find a way to come back year after year its that good!

Unfortunately I left on Wednesday or else I'd definitely be up for meeting some people. Also unfortunately for the time I was there AZ was down so I didn't know who else might have been milling around.
