Thats about optimal for a break tip Eric. When I install one, thats how I cut it. Then if the customer wants something else, they can adjust it.
I used to think that a phenolic tip was the best thing since sliced bread.
I just put on a very hard leather break tip on my Thor Hammer. Didn't care for it at all compared to the Joss tip that it came with.
I have installed quite a few Super Pro tips for breakers. I'm very much starting to lean towards them and pressed Triangles.
You get great control and they won't mushroom.
I have used my friends breaker with a Samsara quite a bit and they are a decent tip. Seems that you seldom break dry with one. And that was good for me cause I'm not a great breaker.
