I tried a search for this but I couldn't find exactly the info I was looking for. I have a J&J jump/break that I got about 6 or 7 years ago. It has a black one piece phenolic tip/ferrule. I've been getting a lot of miscues lately so I've been thinking about switching to a Samsara tip. My question is how hard is it to have a Samsara tip put on when what I have on there now is a short stubby 1 piece? Would a new ferrule have to be installed or could the new tip be placed on top of what is currently there? I'm a newb when it comes to this cue work stuff.[/ QUOTE]
I have the cheap Fury J/B that came with carbon fiber tip/ferrule. Took off the tip & replaced with Samsara. I imagine you can do similar...leave the phenolic ferrule and sand, saw, cut whatever... the tip off and replace.
To the OP:
Have to go with your own personal feel...what you like and feel.
For me, had to be CSI, APA legal, so Samsara all the way. Expensive but I love it...great for jumping, too.
