I think you should reserve those comments until you actually see what the new format looks like. I promise it will be bigger, better, and more fun than ever.

Well that sounds good. I'll trust your judgement then. You've done great so far!

.

So why did you choose to write some of the cues 'names' down for most, but leave out a few? The name is what makes a cue stand out, please go back through and fix the ones you screwed up on. It's despicable to see a high end cue be described as "ivory nose" when it has a name.

"Despicable"? I love fine cues, but it's only a cue. It is despicable to get so upset about a name being left off, especially since some of the names are just plain dumb.

Of course, there is no way to please everyone... if there is one lesson I've learned in doing this for three years, it's that one.

Until then... let's keep this one rocking along. This is the best collective group of cues we have had so far, and there were several cues that were not submitted... my goal is to not let that happen this year. The only reason a significant new cue will not be posted in this year's group is if the owner chooses not to have it posted in public.

I agree and many great cases were also not nominated. Looking forward to your new format.

the numbers baffle me
ONLY 316 votes cast

at the bottom it says 42,017 members
and then this
Currently Active Users: 649 (272 members and 377 guests)
where's the other 41,745 members?:scratchhead:

so torn in fact, that i clicked on both, hit submit
i have no idea WHICH one actually got my vote

That's exactly what I was thinking. 40k plus members and less that 1k voted... JUNK I SAY!!!! If you cant get fired up about these beauties something is wrong with you!

I would've cast a vote for BHQ, but I didn't see one of his fantastic cues up here... ;)

I kid, but you should have been in there. You make some of the best, if not the best butterfly cues in the game!!!

best,

Justin

I think these super intricate cues are spectacular, but they dont suit some peoples taste. Maybe this is part of the reason for the low number of voters.

For me, the cue of the year should be a 4 point veneered plain classic from one of the top top tier makers. This would be "cue of the year" every year to me. Maybe put a few plain classics on next years list and see if they get many votes? To me, more is not always better.

of course this is just my opinion.

If I am reading the poll right, Jakes cue won?

Hi,

The people who visit Cue and Case are just a small percentile of the total AZ people.

IMO, if you put poll threads in WFS, Main Forum and a few other areas you would get votes numbers that increase exponentially. I am not sure that would be a good or a bad thing. People who visit Cue and Case are pretty knowledgeable in this area of expertise.

JMO,

Rick

Congratulations to Jake for the impressive cue that was the Belle of the Ball.

I have considered this thread to be a genuine treat, and a reason to log on more than usual. To see the beautiful , exceptional cues all on display in a single location is like going to a cue show, and each Cuemaker is to be thoroughly congratulated for the magnificent work on display.

We all owe special recognition to Jamie Wernsman for all the hard work to pull this together for everyone, both the participants and the viewers and voters. .....Jamie, THANK YOU.....

Will Prout
