Who would have this done? Who would actually do it? I mean....really?

It looks like the installer sanded the heck out the last inch or so when replacing the ferule. I have to believe it now has a weird taper right at the end.
 
Old school cues were 57 inches and shorter right? The original ferrules looks like ivory or horn. My guess is that the owner tried to spruce it up to appeal to modern buyers. It could've been worse, imagine that cue with a screw on tip.
 
Kinda looks like and over sized glued on ferrule, you know kinda like when you see cars with hubcap spinners
 
lol thats funny. When I would replace ferrules where the customer didn't want the shaft also cleaned, I'd use some spit to blend the color of the sanded section of the shaft with the dirty section... in affect moving the dirt onto the sanded section. It really made it look much better. But really, this job seems to be excessive sanding. Besides the excessive sanding, the ferrule was poorly installed. The facing wasn't cut well from the looks of the glue line.

What's really bad is that they mention who did in the ad!

It's a hack job! They talk about it like they did something great for the cue!

If I were that cue repair person I sure wouldn't want it out there that I did this work.

Look at the price they want on that thing! LOL! What makes it worse is that they had a hack repair done and actually brought the value down IMHO!
