Well how many of these bad boys were made?

This is my most recent pickup. This cue has an interesting story as it was ordered out of a pool room in Louisville and the owner played with it until he quit playing pool years later. Sold it to the owners son and I picked it up from him.

Scot Sherbine refinished it, and it still lays in its original case....It was born together and thought they should stay together.

Nice cue.. I have one with no inlays..

JV

That sounds interesting. I would like to see it.

I bet it looks more modern. I had a guy at the pool room go nuts over this cue..I said it looked like a 62 cadillac with big fins....

Well I like yours better....maybe its just me.

I think yours has the Szamboti forearm actually. The veneers in my cue are not the same quality as the forearms on Gus Szamboti cues, IMO.

I thought Gus was supposed to make these forearms on this model, but I'm not convinced.

You should have had Scott replace the handle with a piece of ebony....

Ken,
I have never seen that forearm before. I wonder iof they were getting some from whomever was making the PM/PB series of cues. Interesting. I checked my pics and probably the 15-20 J's and 16's we have had were all Boti forearms.

So you are saying that all model 16 were Szamboti? The quality just isnt that good on mine.

I set in next to either Szamboti I have and it is a world of difference, IMO.

oh i have the #16 in its original palmer case bought it 7 or 8 years ago and have yet to hit a ball with it go figure
