Main Forum = CJ Wiley Forum now?

you are correct,

I agree I get on AZ every day like a lot of people. And if there is a post on here from ANY member that doesn't interest me I do not open the thread that member posted on here.

Just because any/all members post on here regardless who/what their name is doesn't mean you have to open them. A lot of threads on here I could care less about that's why you skip it and go to the next one. Or put them on block and you don't even see them, this is much easier to do than complain about it.
You are correct but, allot of good threads have been ruined by CJ coming and derailing the thread by him funneling the topic into his latest video that he is selling. He figures a way to pitch his stuff in to any thread weather its related or not. Every thing comes down to a TOI

Anybody that runs out that easy playing 15 ball rotation, i want to hear what he is doing and saying!

I see it like CJ is trying to teaching those that want to play better, to do just that play better, now what could be wrong with that?

The man is one of a few most feared money player that ever lived!

Keep up the good work CJ, i would have to believe much more of us like it then dislike it!

I agree he is showing you what he can do.

I would love for CJ to have his own forum. that way it would be much easier to read his posts and I don't have to go looking for his stuff. For someone that plays like him and has won just about everything worth winning in the game of pool to come on and give his two cents worth is excellent. I figured out his toi from all this posts and it worked so good I not only paid the stream price but bought the dvd also. So what it cost me less than $50 in the end for both. I have already won that back 5 fold from the people I've beat that I know for a fact I could't beat before. I've had questions and have emailed him and within a day I have a private message back explaining exactly what I needed. Yea he's a real work allright ! :)

I like the CJ tips, for me there is plenty of worthy knowledge in them. Keep it up - please.

He has answered questions I had in private also, several times.
Money issue, - I don´t see it at all. For a reason he sent me his DVD´s to me for free, including the shipping to Sweden. Was nothing I asked for but I´m very grateful he did - thank´s again CJ!

Isn´t it nice to be able to choose what you do, what you read, what you like, who you love etc? - I kind of like that birthright we all have:).

Best regards

Chrippa

I agree.

There are very many on AZB that hardly ever post.

They are called the silent majority.

Most of the threads in the main forum are periphreral to actually playing pool any way.

I also agree. I enjoy reading CJ's threads. I think it is excellent reading for those trying to improve their game.

There's a few other topics on this forum that might warrant their own forum, as I read numerous threads about it. I don't comment on it, state my thoughts, as I don't want to post anything negative. I just don't read it. Simple solution!

I read CJ's threads. Every now and then, he posts a vintage pool photo that I love seeing, like the one of Wade Crane aka "Billy Johnson" in this thread.

Guys this is a pool site. We have one of the top American players to ever hold a cue posting here on a regular basis. Who cares if he is selling stuff. You think Lee Trevino gets treated this way on a golf forum? Of course not, cause in other sports you couldn't get a legend to spend his free time with us regular folk.

Besides, what would you rather read? discussions about $50 cubes of chalk and how often I change my cue tips?

Thank goodness for members who aren't a part of the pack mentality that happens on this forum from time to time.

Good for you stating the obvious. Bravo, and tap, tap, tap! :clapping:

a "vintage picture" of my mentor when I was 18, Dalton Leong,

I'm glad you liked the picture of "Billy," I sure miss him, we got really close when he was in Dallas. Still to this day he's the only one to shoot a perfect score in the finals of a tournament on Accu Stats (unless there is a recent one).

Here's a "vintage picture" of my mentor when I was 18, Dalton Leong, we traveled for 6 months together and he taught me a lot about life, martial arts, and the "mental side" of pool. RIP - I think Fran Crimi took this if my memory serves me well. Thanks, Fran, awesome picture. Dalton was a great player and one of the most sophisticated hustlers I've ever met. I'll expand on this sometime if anyone's interested in some "hustling stories".

How interesting! I had never heard of him. Would love to read more about Dalton Leong. :)

Keith knew him - he was originally from San Francisco

Keith knew him, he was originally from San Francisco. He was also an actor and was in some TV shows like Ironsides for instance. He was tragically murdered in New York City several years ago in an incident unrelated to pool.

OMG! That is so unfortunate, his murder. Wow!

I will ask Keith about him, for sure.

ad space

I'm not bashing TOI or anything, but the way CJ posts...

...it just looks like spam to me, its basically advertisment in his every post of every thread he's in, "the game is the teacher.. the game is the teacher, i use TOI..blah blah blah"

the main forum IS now his own personal free advertisment space..sorry but it gets annoying

If you people do not like it then stop making new threads about it or posting in the existing threads. You guys are just feeding the fire and helping the man out, playing right into his hand, haha suckers. :p

You're right, it's probably "just a fad," I mean Wade Crane told me Luther Lassiter used the same type of system, just never told anyone about it, so that makes it......hmmm, 50-60 years old? Yeah, it's definately a "fad" and shouldn't be around more than a few more decades before it fizzles out.

Wait a minute, it's now in the "mainstream" pool world, so you don't have to be a "road player" anymore to get this information???

uht oh....that means that the old way of playing "hit one ball into another ball and make it hit a contact point and use different spins, speeds, ghost balls and calculate it every time you shoot" system is going out of style?

That would certainly be a shame, it's so much better to keep the whole world down so they are playing a game that's RIDICULOUSLY TOUGH as opposed to a way that makes it very simple and very easy. Yes indeed. ;)

I can see why you would "hold it against me" for doing everyone such an "injustice".....God Forbid pool get popular again so it's enjoyable for everyone that plays it and professionals can make a decent living playing back on TV again....that would be "tragic" now wouldn't it. ;)

I (for what its worth)Thankyou for sharing your knowledge with us CJ

I think its a fad that will pass. We have seen it before. At one point it was Dippy threads then CTE threads now its CJ. In a couple months it will be something else. I agree that it can be a little overwhelming at times seeing multiple threads on the same video or multiple question threads.

I think it would make sense to give him his own forum that way all his stuff is easy to find for those who want it.

I agree. Which is why I just take months off at time. Login, scan for the latest cool aid flavored spam flooding the main forum ;) , check back in another day.

I also however, don't want him to stop posting, just put it where it goes.

Why do we have different forums anyway? Get rid off them all I suppose.

I hear people like to read my 'car for sale threads' on other forums, I guess as long as people enjoy reading them , I'll start posting cars for sale in the main AZ forum too. All good right ?

:)

You nailed it..lol Hell theres a ton of threads I have no interest in or has discussed over and over. I just move on..Some people just like to complain I guess.

I love it greatest salesman ever. Modern day snake oil. Toi got the cure for everything watch me take over the world using toi. I can bend spooons with my mind using toi. I think toi should be banned from professional competition until further investigation of toi. I heard cori d used toi on the break and made all 9balls in the side pocket in order. .....all my attempt on humor. I like cj threads ..

Hi CJ...That was totally unexpected, a legendary name from my San Francisco past......Dalton was the best asian pool player I ever heard about in my youth.....I rarely saw him play but I'm surprised you knew him and "ran"
with him; I would think you were too young to have known him.....His "time" seemed to be way back in the early '60s........Thanks for mentioning him...

It is obvious that some folks like CJ here for any number of reasons and that is fine, but his posts have gone to excess, in my opinion. So I believe that his endless posts, video discussions, sales pitches, and thread hijacks deserve their own sub forum.

I recall when the aiming threads started proliferating, the vocal few made an issue of it, and the powers that be decided to funneled those discussions in a sub-forum, despite the same "if the topic doesn't interest you, don't open it" protestations being voiced in this discussion.

CJ has turned the main forum into his personal PR and sales machine. I guess when you think about it, until something is done, he already has his own sub-forum.
