I'm curious, how many racks have you run in a row(9-ball on 4.5x9 only)

What's your lifetime highest consecutive racks run amount on any 4.5x9?

I been playing pool for over 30 years, all on 9 footers, i checked in with 4 racks, but my highest mite be a 5 pack and with that would of been atlease 1 9ball on the break.

I never was a very good 9ball player, i would guess a b player, maybe b plus at my best!

When i played top players (which i did alot) i would need the 5 and break, and it would go either way!

I did beat Wilkie with the 6 ball playing 9ball 3 years ago in my pool room on my table!

I was stuck alot gambling with Cigar Tom Vanover with the 5 and breaks, Bobby leggs and i were around even, Slivka beat me in that game as did McCressh!

I've done 5 on a bar box, 8 ft., and a 9 ft.
That elusive 6 pack just keeps getting away....dern it!

What are you trying to say? Looks like this anonymous poll shows that AZB has plenty of stone cold pool killers on these boards. As of this writing, 51% of y'all have run 4 or more and have 36% have run 5 or more consecutively. Looks like 3 of you guys are about as good as Earl in his prime...

I've been playing pool for 45 years, I've done 5 racks in a row 3 times. LOL, that doesn't mean I'm jumping up to play any PRO player.
I've also dogged 1000's of balls.

runout totals

Okay...What do I get, a three pack or a five pack? :)

Sadly 3, spotted balls dont count.

For the other poster who ran "6" with one game being a pushout that was given back to him, your break and run counts stops with that dry break.Again, sorry to be the bearer of bad news.

I was in a tournament playing a guy named Charlie Wiggins about 20 years ago... It was a race to 11 and I won the coin toss. I broke and ran the first 9 then missed shape on the 7 ball by about a half inch.. I ended up playing safe and left a hard shot.. I figured the match was pretty much over at this point as I sat down.

My opponent made the 7 and ran out that game, then proceeded to run the next 6 on me!! I really started getting nervous thinking I was going to lose the match. The set ended up going hill-hill and he broke dry and I ran out.. :)

I have never been happier to be done with a match....

I've run 4 on a 9 footer with medium tight pockets a few times.

I've run 5 on a 8' pro (oversized 8)

No idea on a bar box...4 or 5 I think.

That is all 9 ball.

I've run 5 8 ball racks on a bar box, and I think 3 or 4 on a 9'.

I would imagine that was the best set you were ever involved in?

On a 9 foot table 5 racks of 9 ball.
I once won the coin flip and got the first break in a race to 5. I broke and ran 4 racks and lost the set 5 to 4.
I went home and had a dinner of dog food and dog biscuits for desert.:speechless:

Not to try and 1up you but I was a beginner(maybe 2 years into playing pool) playing in the tournament at the Sportspalace in the mid 90s. I drew Tony Ellin in the semi finals, he gave me the last 7. I won the flip and ran the first 6 racks(only made more than 1 ball after the break once) in a race to 7. Broke dry and he tied me before I shot again when he broke dry double hill. I missed my shot by almost a diamond and it 2railed in the side. I won :-)

8 BnR. My friend broke on 2-1 score and miss the 1 ball. I runout that game, (3-1) close the match with 6 BnR and 2-0 in second.
I broke PERFECT in 3rd game... cb center table but wing ball (and few others) rattled so my best runout ended with dry break

Table was dynamic II with artemis rubber and 11cm pockets (~ 4 1/3')

Uh, that I have kept track of? I would say my most that I know of is 3....I have also run 2 consecutive racks of 9 ball on a nine-footer against Jeanette Lee - The Black Widow, back when I was 21 in Rochester, NY. Good enough? Lol

Over 50% of the respondents have ran 4 or more. If the same respondents answered the what is your ratining poll: A-E, I would think that there would be quite a bit less "A" players.

I have to be honest i thought my answer of three was a good representation of my game. I say i was a B player. But looking at the poll i am seriously humbled and intimidated. I watch the pro videos and i hardly ever see more than 3 or 4 i got the dvd of earl running out the set for a million.. i never seen anyone run more than 4 in person. Where does all this magic happen. I ran 3 racks at the house an i had no witnesses i play the devil and always lose. My best was 10-6. I go to pool halls all over an hold my own. I tell you what i am inspired to try an run more racks good greif how do you make a ball on the break and then get shape on the one and for me if i am lucky to get that far i always have balls glued to one another in the weirdest places. My hats off to anyone run 5 or better truly u are MONSTERS ...

I once ran 37 racks while Max Eberle was poking me in the back with a cattle prod. Another time, I spotted Richie Richeson the wild deuce and ran so many racks that before he ever got a chance to shoot he was 2 years behind on child support and they hauled him away. Booked a huge winner that day. Another time, after a week of hookers and blow in Vegas with no sleep, I challenged this one pocket clown to some nine balls. I patteren racked and ran the balls the exact same way 126 times until the cloth was cut clean thru. In the shape of a butterfly. Like a boss. Then I thought I heard something, but a cow was in my way so I punched a hole clean thru it just to see who was coming in the door. Turned out to be the mailman. Feeling bad for the cow, I invented a new aiming system called Touch of Dead Cow and ran 44 racks using it. I miss ole' Buttertits.
