What's up everyone,
Just going to ask everyone's opinion on an offer from Airmark. I get a message saying...I want Zinzola... I reply that I will need payment. he replies 3 more words in a pm..."PayPal addy please". I tell him I will need a personal check since he has zero I trader and ask where he is located and for a telephone number. He says his FRIEND with the PayPal is in LA but can you ship to China, lol. I ask for a telphone number again. He then says he is CONNECTING to his friend He says I have his address and can send you PayPal. I tell him again I will need a personal check from his Friend since he is doing the deal for him. He says ok I will let him know later. I said I thought you were just connected with him? Anyway, fishy, fishy fishy, I would stay clear.
 
Could be a language barrier.. But wouldn't a money order be safer? A check can bounce. Then what?
 
Should be ok as long as check clears before u ship. No way I would ship to China tho. He would be hard pressed to scam you once the money is in your hands. I would actually go the check or money order route as PayPal has a tendency to side with the buyer on "lost in the mail" claims. I have even lost cases with confirmed delivery...go figure!

+1 No PayPal on this one. Money order is what I suggest. :)

Strange, but I just got a message from shayne87 with the subject "boar", and the message "How much? Thanks" which is strange because I don't even own a Black Boar. I'm not the most tenured member here, I seldom buy/sell. I have a handful of cues and cases, and consider myself lucky if I play once a week. Every 8-10 years I buy a few and sell a couple, and am currently in that part of the cycle.

Anyway, good luck avoiding the scammers and spammers.

I think what everyone agrees on here (I stand to be corrected) is no payment via Paypal. I don't believe anyone doubts you have the funds/ability to pay, it's just extra precaution for the Seller as the Buyer has control of a) the source of the money and b) the Buyer has more options and actions after sending payment and Seller ships the cue.

The example situation above is true in my opinion - "...PayPal has a tendency to side with the buyer on "lost in the mail" claims.."

Think of how you would feel as the Seller knowing this.

If you both have paypal, you can send him an invoice through paypal.

You'll need his paypal email address of course.

Then after he makes payment, you can call paypal to see when it is safe to ship.

There is one very honest Asian buyer out there like that

I can't rember his name. He buys Cues for Asian players and buyers. Absolute integrity.
As for payment, you are in charge of that.
