Like to buy some Kamui Clear tips

I also have been looking for quite some time.....No luck tho....

I still haven't tried to contact kamui directly tho...

Got one as a trial they play awesome however they will not be available till approx end of may ImageUploadedByTapatalk1365909220.014224.jpg

My friend who is a Kamui dealer said that the clear tips will be available from dealers starting Mid-May, unless you have better connections. Hehe.

And I think I heard him say the price will be = the current kamui black tips.

OHHHH wow.... a clear layer in the tip will certainly make the balls go in more accurately.

Is everyone captured by marketing bull shit?????

Kamui tips are already over priced 5 times.... how much more will a clear layer cost.

WTF

Kim

You do not seem to understand, I is all about having the newest toy on the block. Don't you know that the clear little pad will make a person play better, and more important than that make your cue shaft look a lot better too. Everyone shoots better with a $30 tip than they do with an old milk dud. the more you spend the better your game, just ask any Kamui sales rep........LOL:D:D:D:rolleyes::rolleyes::rolleyes::rolleyes:

Did they mention that you become a better pool player because of their tips?

Why so much hatred against a company that does more for pool than you?

I don't?

If you don't like their product, then don't buy it.

This was a thread asking WHERE to get get a Kamui clear tip. Not a thread asking your opinion of their marketing technique. Everyone knows its the Indian and not the arrow...

I saw the pics that you posted in the Main Forum CMD.
At the very least, it certainly looks pretty sharp.

If a guy has a good looking cue and takes pride in it, there is nothing wrong with having a cool looking tip to go with it.

As far as having any distinct advantages, I guess we will wait until they are more readily available to the masses and I am sure there will be tons of new Threads on them.

Just like the chalk. One a day for a few months. But then, we will find out.

A company that has done more for pool than me??? I don't know if they have built or repaired as many cues as me..... but I certainly have not made as much profit from pool players as they have by selling overpriced products .....

Are you going to answer the question of why so much hatred?

Keep in mind, they do not hold guns to pool players heads to buy their products. This is the United States of America where people have choices.

This thread was a request for a certain tip. Do you have any to offer the OP or just your jaded opinions?

Kamui are actually title sponsors for some of the tournaments and traveling tours. That is a great help to the sport, industry, and players. Its giving back when they don't have to. You are building cues and doing repairs for money. That's not giving back. I'm not trying to bust your chops but I want you to see that side of it.

Consistency

I had to look up how to spell it. I like the way Kamui tips play. I have them on 6 different shafts right now. I think what Kamui is doing is trying to improve their consistency from tip to tip. That's just my opinion, and its the reason I'd like to try some of the new ones.

I am not going to get into any type of discussion about this because its just not what I do, but I apreciate the posters on this thread that have had positive things to say about Kamui. I prefer to stick with the positives in pool.

The issue is that "installers" were letting glue wick into the tip and it changes the hardness and playability. The clear "pad" is to stop the glue from touching the leather. The tip will play no different than a Kamui Black of the same hardness. It is, in fact, the same tip.

Can anyone tell me where I can get some of the new Kamui Clear tips? I like the black softs.

I have seen quite a few, not only is there a Clear Pad on the bottom but the Top has a pad as well. By the amount I have seen they are circulating around to Cue Makers and Cue Repair people at present. I would call all the people in the local area and as shown in top pictures maybe you can be one of the lucky ones to try them to give feed back to your cue repair person.

It is my understanding the clear is also to get a better bond to those using plastic Ferrules which makes good sense as Super Glue goes well plastic to plastic.
