Who sells the cheapest radial pins?

Any type.

So far I found that Dan Trogodan has the cheapest pins at 9$ each made out of g10

I also purchased from atlas before

I am looking for pins under the 9$ mark.

I have some with a short pilot and 5/16 14 bottom threads.
Real radial threads.
$7 each.
Not G10, either SS or brass.

Hey Joey

Thanks for the offering but I don't have a 5/16x14 tap. All I have is radial tap and 3/8x10 tap.

Good price but the bottom threads.....

Hey, no such thing as stupid question. Just stupid answers.

Emimunpical, with the money you save on Radical pins, you can afford to buy yourself a tap.

Hey Blue Hog what up. I have to admit i have been missing you here. I really don't like the feeling of the small pins, also i got pretty decent at installing radial pins. I do pay a little extra but i believe they are the best hitting pins and they install pretty accurate.

Tim Scruggs, Paul Mottey, Gus, Barry, Bushka, Joss, Schon, Phillipi, Hubler, Stroud, Runde and a several others seem to think those small pins hit pretty well. And its not the pin that installs pretty accurate, its the guy installing the pin.

These are my old ones.
Got no time to clean them.
I've switched to 3/8 11. I won't be needing this.
$110 takes them all, priority mail.

Btw, $9 for G10 radial is a steal. It doesn't get cheaper than that.

5/16 14 don't have to be as accurate as big ACME and radial joint screws .
They have so much slop, square faces are pretty much all is needed.:grin-square:

The hit of the pin is something purely personal in nature. Some people like 5/16x18 some don't. For me nothing beats a nice g11 radial.

Nailed it Joe :-)
Even if i really like the *big pins*- but a good friend (and cuemake) *healed* me. It s really about the knowledged guy who installs the pin- the wizard does the magic :-)

If they are the best that you have tried, then why try to cheap it? pay the price and move along.Unless you talk to the maker of these, you won't get them any cheaper then the suppliers will sell them for. One would think you have figured this out already......you're like a broken record.... help me, help me.. help me...I'm broke, I'm broke, I'm broke, sell me cheaper than you paid, sell me cheaper than you paid......but I'm but a lowly student...charging my friends for all the freebies you all give me....

See My Point???
Either pony up the money, or find another side business, either way, STOP BEGGING! If you weren't such a whiney cheap azz wanna be, some of us would share our sources, and may even split an order to help a beginner out, but you have shown that even by someone doing that, just makes you think even more people will do good things for you and you, in return, do nothing for them, or anyone else here.
I began this journey of wanting to build cues 17 years ago, with nothing, and now have a lot, and did it after my divorce, and raised 2 of my own kids and 2 more of my girlfriends. All of which are now going thru college or have graduated. ALL BY HARD WORK.... on my part and theirs!!!!! No freebies handed out.
I have done a lot on my own, and now have a nice shop to call my own. I am now on a bit of a down spot, due to health reasons, and no matter what, will never contemplate coming on here begging as you have, to continue my quest to build cues. Just about every post you have put up is "PLease help me do it cheaper" Your a college student, I would think they have taught you how to acheive your dreams without having to beg for less than the selling price.
You're a work of art......
It may sound harsh, but it's the truth, and you know it...
Dave

Stop getting your panties up in a bunch Dave. You know as well as me that every one is looking to save a buck. I know my prices and I know my suppliers. I did not beg for anything. I know people that have open lines with machine shops and get them a little cheeper then average. I does not hurt to ask. Just because I am not doing things your way that does not mean is the wrong way. When a build a 200$ cue I don't look at spending 16$ on a pin. But when I have less fortunate college kids come to me to build them a cheep breaker or player yea price is my main focus.

I appereas that not every one read the thread before comenting so i will post again.

I guess we've all been reading someone else's posts then? Same avatar, and signature, he'll even name, but you're right. You've never begged for anything on here.

Yep, and he never said this either:
"I am Romanian and we have a saying in Romania. You don't learn a trade you steal a trade."
Yeah, right.

True you do steel it

I figure i will explain this phrase because it seem that its connotations are way above some peoples heads.

Actually the slogan is very old and i have no idea where it originated.

I first heard it from my grandfather who was a master engineer.

The idea behind this is that true mastery in any field (mostly manual and industrial) is "stolen" from previous masters. You sit by them and watch what they do, and then you do the same thing.

But there are 2 types of masters in the field. Those that consider it a honor to teach and will teach any one willing to listen and don't really care about "trade secrets" that so many cue makers seem so hang up on and then are the masters that don't like to teach. Those are the ones you "steel" from because if they will not teach you but you have a passion to learn you will sit by them and watch what they do and you do the same thing.

Example

I went to the derby strictly to talk with cue makers. From Mister Jacoby to Joe BLackburn they were all amazing people to talk to.

Steve Lomax was there with his repair lathe. I could not just walk up there and be like Hey Steve teach me how to put a leather wrap on like you (he does amazing stuff its really hard to find the seam). So i stole some knowledge. How? By watching him put a wrap on and memorize the steps, exact tools used, materials and so forth. Frankly i did have questions while he was putting the wrap on but him being a master i don't doubt his way and just follow his procedure to a tee. Now just by watching him i will not be able to right away put a wrap just like him but i am on the right track.

Eventually i got to talk with him about wraps when i mustered up the courage to ask him. He actually was a very nice supportive guy and told me to keep learning and asking question and eventually one day it will come.

Funny thing is that he did not have nice things to say about AZ.

Any how maybe this brings some light over the "steeling" part that seems to bug so many people.
