Billiards: easier than cheerleading

Lets see
Billiards= knock ball in hole with stick
Cheerleading= jump up & down a lot in a bikini without tits falling out

They may have a point

Check out this ESPN ranking I came across. It ranks the 50 most difficult sports based on a variety of criteria. Billiards is slightly harder than fishing, yet still easier than cheerleading.

I'm guessing that physical activity needed for the sport was a big criteria that they used, if not several. For sports where they need fine motor skills and focus like archery, darts, shooting, I'm sure the list would look different in the rankings. You can't really compare billiard sports to fishing (ah.. stand there with a stick and shake it once in a while) and cheerleading. The only sport in fishing is buying the right shiny bauble and staying awake so you don't fall out of the boat.

Hot diggity dog...two of my most favorite sports to do are the bottom two. I knew I was athletic.

L8R...Ken

What makes the list dumb is that all criteria are weighted equally. So for example flexibility is consisted just as important/difficult as overcoming fear of physical injury or death. Or making important snap decisions under pressure.

LOL.:eek:When you consider the mental aspect of the game pool is the most difficult.Golf has to be right up there with pool.

IDK pool is exactly sport,I think game is more fitting but it matters not,it is what it is.

At least billiards is on the list. Conclusion billiards is a sport.

Name some pool players who could compete against any other athletes in other sports. Then it'll be a sport.

I think it could be a good discussion but at the end of the day, Shannon Daulton isn't running 100 meters faster than the biggest NFL lineman.

The chart was written by somebody that never held a cue.
I would put Bull Riding near the top.
If you can cast a lure 75 feet and land it between two Lilly pads, I don't want to play any one-pocket with you, but if you hook tree branches often, I'd like to play 9 Ball with you.
Did you ever notice how a Canadian can hit that open spot by a log with a lure and at the same time spit tobacco juice into a coffee can at the other end of the boat? Their girlfriends can do the same thing. They can spit tobacco juice in mid cast, not miss the can and begin reeling the second the lure hits the water. They are a distraction though, since they like to fish topless on a sunny day.

Pool is definately an indoor sport!

1. Breaking the balls: break the balls all day at 22+ mph and see how sore you get
2. Power strokes: strong draw shots or even finess spin shots are very sporty!

ok thats all i got for now::: ohyea jumping balls to!

i don't play alot right now but even when i do get the stick out for 3-6hours for a tournament i am sore and my back hurts!

pool is a sport!

You're sore because you're probably out of shape.
