Efren and Shane will be on the podcast tonight at 9 PM Eastern. If anyone has any questions please post them up. These two kick off OB TAR 34 Friday at 8 PM Eastern.

The podcast is free at www.theactionreport.com.

TAR 34 is presented by OB and sponsored by Kamui and CueSports International.

For Efren:

What is St. Peter like?

Seriously though, could you have Efren describe his grip. How he holds it before the shot and also how he holds it upon completion of the shot.

Lastly for Efren, the more I watch him recently, the more I think he has actually gotten better as he has aged not the opposite. What's his secret? I think I know what it is, but I would be interested to know what he thinks.

For SVB,
Before turning pro did you envision going shoulder to shoulder with Efren and for both players how do they prepare mentally/and stay focus.

What was the most memorable kick shot you have done for Efren.

And for Shane when you were back in Rapid City this past month i believe how was it playing in the 10 ball league? Heard he scored a 74 out of 80 points

Maybe have them play a game of each to give everybody a sample of whats in store this weekend if its possible.

For Efren, was the Hong Kong challenge with Earl the toughest match for him due to Earl having such a large lead and the length of the match, plus the fact that he was playing one of the top 9 ball players ever? If not, what was?

For Shane, how does he feel about people asking him to play a game with him everywhere, is he OK with it ( would he say, yes please ask me if it's not busy or I'd rather play a top player), or feels like his practice or alone time is interrupted. He played a few games with my son in Snookers in RI, and I see other videos or him playing kids or fans around.

Question for both, is there anything you learned from other players after you were already at the top of your game? What and who was it from?

Awesome....just awesome!!!

Two of the greatest players of all time. Personally, Efren is my favorite player because of his creativity. So many great highlights...that's why he is the magician. Shane...a TAR staple and an inspiration to all. Both warriors on the table.

Thanks JC for putting this together.

I would like to hear Efrin's assessment of Shane's game, and how he thinks the kid is progressing. Efrin has seen Shane grow a bunch in the last couple of years, would be interesting to hear what he thinks Shane should work on, and what if any changes the kid should make to win a world title.

I'd like to also hear Efrin's thoughts on tight 4 1/8" pockets vs. 4.5" pockets.

I'd like to know Efrin's training/practice routine, if any, and if he is get proper diet and exercise to help keep up with the young guns.

Also ask him if he's willing to play a long set with Earl in the future.

best,

Justin

Sounds good. Will check it out tonight and get the match this weekend.

Questions

Shane:

If you had only one type of pool game to play for the rest of your life. Which game would it be.

Efren:

Out of all the Billiard/pool games that you have played, which game do you find the most difficult overall?

Thanks to Justin and TAR for this open forum Podcast...it's a rare opportunity in any sport to have a direct link to the best players in the game.

My question is for both players:

Assuming this happens to top level pros as well, in the most high pressure situations when you are over a shot and allow bad thoughts to creep in and you get that suffocating feeling where you know if you pull the trigger you are likely to miss. What is your thought process to refocus, clear those thoughts and get the confidence back so you are able to come with a good stroke?

What equipment is Efren using right now? Tip? Cue? Shaft? etc and if you could get both of them to explain their practice routines a little bit and what drills they do if any. Thanks.

To Efren, growing up who was the best Filipino player you ever saw?

For Shane, what's it like gambling in the Philippines?

For Bata:

How many hours do you practice now and in the past??

What do you honestly think about Shane as a player and as a person??

For Shane, among the pro's who has had the biggest influence in how he shoots, if any?

There wont be any TAR match DVD's anytime soon. Honestly probably never. Everything is going on a video on demand platform that will start in May.

I would like to know if Efren remembers Brigido Quinto....
...and how good was he?
