I see Geese and Vanover, that looks like old Bill and Billies in glen burnie.

Also Sigel, who i believe won the md state that year over Vanover!

That tournament with Vanover, Geese, and Sigel was at the old Champions in Silver Spring, Maryland. I recognize the pool room, having spent many, many hours there. :wink::grin-square:

The lady to the left of Allen Hopkins, is that Linda Shea? As I recall, she won the Maryland State Championship for ladies several times. Nice, nice person, as well as a great player. :smile:

Watched COM the other night, first time in years, it sure brought back lots of memories, what a amazing life all these years....

not as many savers back then, adjusted for inflation that check is about $90,000 today, pool has not adjusted for inflation. So now you git guys doing savers for entry fee $$ on their early matches. sad. but they got no choice
