All time money list

Awesome info.

Interesting to me...SVB is 8th on the all time list and has only been a touring "pro" since 2007. Just under six years and in the top ten. Not to mention that Efren and Thorsten ahead of him won IPT tournaments worth half a million.

Pretty impressive to me.

Thanks for posting this......... a little surprised that Earl is kinda far down on the list......I know he didn't get the whole million for running eleven racks, but I thought he'd be farther up there in earnings........

Hohmann's IPT win was for $350,000.
 
We started tracking payouts in 1999. We do have a lot of data from before then though. The new data structure for the site makes it a lot easier to add that back information and we will work to do so asap.

The value of a dollar today is less than it was in the past, thanks to inflation. ... 1960 = $7.76; 1970 = $5.92; 1980 = $2.79; 1990 = $1.76; 2000 = .

Mike Sigel & Buddy Hall's winnings could be multiplied by at least 2.5 IMO.
 
This kind of information is a godsend when it comes to a pool archives. Dates are often omitted in some older pool news periodicals. I'm looking forward to this feature. :cool:

thats correct, and sadly the payouts are about the same in big tourneys as they were in 1984, resorts international paid Swanee $25,000 in 84 or 85, if that tourney was this week first place would still be $25,000. Thats the problem in pro pool, travel costs 2.5X more $$$ everything does and the prize $$$ has not been adjusted for inflation, i'm not sure if the $$ is even there to adjust it partially.



this list that Mike is compiling is interesting. And very cool, its a estimate of what the top guys made, same as in golf Tiger has made 50X more $$$ than tourney wins. but sweating tourney $$ is cool.


Lots of other $$ wont appear on it like sponsorship $$$, some guys made $100,000/year sponsoring cues 14 years ago(wont name names) and the gambling $$ is big too and impossible to track.

I had no idea that a cue company building cues had that kind of revenue coming in to pay someone that much to use their cues!
