To level the slates on the top side of the seam if they're not perfect from one side to the other, all you have to do is shim with sheet rock tape between the steel plate and the bottom of the slate to build up the lower side of the seam until it's perfectly flat from one side to the other and it's done, wax/bondo and you're ready for cloth. Leveling is done using the Diamond wedge leveling system after every things all put back together. I have two more 9ft ProAm's I'm going to be delivering pretty soon, so as I set them up I'll be taking pictures of the whole process and posting them in the main forum to let everyone know about Diamond's new 3 piece slate steel plate joining system so they can see it for themselves to decide if that's what would interest them in buying a new Diamond.

Only works on diamond tables? How much taller does it make the table?
Table height don't chage. The problem with trying to use my system on any other table is the backer boards are in the way first off, secondly the slates are mounted to the frame with slate screws. But yes, I could use it on other designed tables if I wanted to remove a cavity area in the backing on the slates in order to install the steel plates.
This thread shows how I used it on a GC, table height never changed, I just removed the backing on the slates and mounted the same 3/4" backing on the frame of the table, and added the Diamond leveling system along with my own leveling system down the middle of the slates.

Yep, that is a whole different level of table tech'n right there. Diamond tables come like that, is that why they are a little more. How much is that system to add to a Diamond table,

It becomes a RIP OFF when you were told you would have to rent the car for a week and that week becomes 4 months.
I don't care if it's Berry, Searing, Gina or RKC if money is exchanged, a deadline is agreed to that person should be good to their word. (period no excuses)
Now if RKC told the OP that he is swamped with work and that it could be anywhere from 2 weeks /6 months before he get around to doing his rails then the OP would not have a leg to stand on here.
However I take it a real deadline was given by RKC and if that's the case IMHO RKC should be a man of his word.
Well, for your information...the dead line was..."I'll try and get them finished sometime around the middle of next month"....that was a "I'll TRY" deadline, not a completion date as YOU would like to believe, I didn't get the time to work on Tony's rails, so I ended up returning them and his money....get over it, or bite me
either way, move on with your life....I sure have NO ONE is going to FORCE me to work on someone's RAILS because they don't like how things turned out, least of all....YOU!

Well, you see, that's where I come in....as I'm the only person in the country that is going to take on a project like that, along with rebuilding the rails, and the whole 9 yards...and about a week of time to work, around $1,800 labor, materials are extra of course.

I keep telling you, what's done is done, and nothing is going to change that. I already said I failed to take care of Tony as a customer...but, again...what's done is done. You don't seem to understand that this deal is over, there's nothing more that is going to happen with it....there was no car rented, no toilet out of commission for months, no loss of life or limb...so, what is the real point of going on about this....is it because you don't feel that you're being heard or what?
