On The Road Again with Perfect Aim....

Consider calling the local television station and ask for their help. This is such an unusual story, they might invest their resources in helping you.
do explain that this is not a case of hit and run up front and explain that to the television station and ask them to make that clear. Otherwise the owner might go undercover.

I did that after 2 days..........

Either didn't see it or won't help.

Might not even be from Peoria but odds are he is. Being a pool player we like odds and know how important they are.

I'm giving it 3 more days to look. Tonight and Sat is important because he might only be out on those nights. If the guy has a $32,000 Jeep he probably doesn't hang out in the bars during the week for sure.

Thanks again Joey.........

Slice of Pool Heaven in Peoria, Ill

I was directed to a little slice of heaven here in peoria by TrustyRusty.

I went to the bar next door where I met Jay Schmidt. I hope I spelled it right.

He told me that once I was a member I could play pool all day there for $5.00.

If your over 55 it's $15.00 per month.

Get the point though these guys are just trying to give a player that wants to play a place to play.

They also work with the kids. that got me right away wanting to help with whatever I can.

I wanted to show jay my Perfect Aim but he wasn't very receptive.

He didn't want to believe that he was left eye dominant because all the pointing tests he ever did told him he was right eye dominant.

I kept at it for awhile because I wanted him to see how this works so he could teach the kids of anyone else that he teaches.

Finally we got to the cuts to the right and the left.

When you cut to the right and your left eye dominant it still feels like your using your left eye to aim the shot.

When I told him that he was actually using the right eye to shoot the shot he argued big time.

This told me for sure that he is left eye dominant.

On the straight in shot, when I had him move his head to the right he drilled it right in. A little bit, not much to the left and he missed most of them.

I'm not giving up on Jay because he's a nice guy and is doing so many good things for up and coming players here in Peoria.

This is called a pool school and Fred does his lessons here and has been doing so fora long time.

This is the link to their website ad.

This place is right next to TJ's Bar that is owned by Jay as is the Pool Scool Building and the tatoo place on the other side.

Sounds like Jay has some deep pockets and that's a strong ingredient for a successful pool program.

I'm going down there today before I do my stake out for the Jeep.

I'd like to meet Fred and say hi again to Jay.

They have a Junior BEF qualifier on Sat I think he said. I might just stroll in and see what's going on.

Just how is this a case of hit and run. Gene told the kid it was okay to leave. His fault for not calling police immediately. Everyone is making out like this kid is the demon.

You got to read what Joey posted again.

Found the jeep Wrangler at a bar 6:00 tonight.......

I called the police like I said I would and they sent out a lady officer.

We both looked over the vehicle and agreed that the damage was consistent with what had happened.

Buty she said you are going to have a hard time pinning this on them with just this damage.

I told her that i saw him and her. She said now that's different. She was pretty nice.

She looked up the person that owned the Jeep and it was a girl. She asked me about the height wieght and the hair and I told her blond and skinny and not too tall. She said that was spot on.

I looked in these parking lots all week and imagine that. Friday night the vampire comes out. You know that if your driving a $30,000 Jeep you must have to work during the week and play only on the weekend.

I went into the bar called the Waterhouse and it was pretty crowded. I was looking for the girl with the same hairdo as I saw a month ago. The only one that looked like the girl had her hair fixed up high like a big tall hat. I told the lady officer that I couldn't be sure.

The officer left and I went to get something to eat. I came back and waited until 10:30.

Out walks this girl that I saw with the tall hair and it's pretty obvious that she had been drinking plenty by the way she walked. I walked up to the Jeep and introduced myself and she didn't seem surprised at all.

I told her that I was the guy that got rear ended about a month ago by her Jeep.

She denied it and said it never happened. Go ahead and call the police.

That was a pretty quick call on her part.

She said there are allot of Jeeps like this in Peoria. I told her I've only found one that looked like hers and especially with the damage on the front that matched the damage on my van.

Her response was I hit my girlfriends car.

I thought Oh boy. This is going to be fun. The color of Jeep and type is right.
She's blond and the same size. There is damage on the front of her bumper.

Then I said i thought there was a guy driving. Her response was her husband doesn't drive her Jeep.

So maybe she was with someone else other than her husband.

There are allot of ifs here but the bottom line is this is the gal that I saw at the accident. She doesn't know that I saw her and I didn't give her that info yet.

I punched in her street in my GPS, I don't know the number, and the GPS takes me right through the place where I was creamed.

She's drunk and slurring her words, Blond, damage one the front of her bumper and her route home goes right through were I got creamed.

Pretty strong as they say in pool.

Plus she looks exactly, minus the tall hair, like the girl at the accident.

It was 1:00 or 1:30 AM Sat morning and had both been out drinking.

I don't think I told them to go.I was holding onto my neck looking mostly at the ground in pain. I told the newspaper that because I wanted to give them an out. Come forward with no trouble.

Bottom line, even if I told them to go they shouldn't have. It was obvious I was in need of some help. Plus i could hardly keep my balance. I had a concusion. I wasn't thinking too well.

I'm not trying to get them in trouble, I just want the bills paid for the medical that could get allot higher from the way I feel.

I went down to the Police station after our talk and talked to the lady officer.

She asked me how long I could stay. i told her as long as it takes. She said, Or you could come back.

She said they would confiscate her Jeep probably and check the damage comparing it too my van.

If the guy isn't her husband we have big trouble. that could open up a whole new can of worms.

I don't know who was driving the Jeep that night. But if she was out with someone else other than her husband, maybe she thought she was too drunk to drive. Maybe he was driving.

This last part is just speculation for sure.

Great day at Freds pool school in Peoria......

They had a Junior qualifier today and hardly anyone showed up. Seems most of them thought it was on Sunday.

A father son came all the way from North Carolina. His son won the small qualifier.

I worked with this young man for hours and then we shot for hours more. I need to play and the young man needs to learn. I also showed dad so he can help his son keep it right.

It was a fun day. Fred came down. I havn't seen him for years. He looks pretty good. Just older like me.

I hope there is a good turnout tomorrow.

The kids are the best.

One man a van and the road.........

Need to stay until Monday or Tuesday for sure.........

I need ro talk to the Traffic Sargent here in Peoria on Monday and see what they can do about trying to prove this accident came from that jeep.

Looks like they will be fighting me all the way on this one.

Boy, it seems like nothing is easy these days.

Still got a headache, just getting used to it, ears are still ringing and it's hard to turn my neck. Very painful when i try to turn it far to the right or left.

In the meantime I'm going to head down to Freds pool school and see how the kids are doing.

then who knows.

Can't wait to get back on the road again and mosey down towards Tunica.

I probably won't be able to play but maybe I can do some Perfect Aim stuff there.

Hope I can. Need to feel much better than i do now to even think about it much more.

anyone close to Peoria that wants to learn Perfect aim give me a call.

715-563-8712 For now I'm only doing one a day. Just like the vitamin:wink:

Gene,
It sounds like you need a lawyer. Just sayin....

Lawyers hire people to investigate. Lawyers hire doctors to treat their clients.
Lawyers know how to talk to the police to get things done. Lawyers scare some people into coming clean. In some cases, they EARN their money.

You get the idea.....

Spot on advice again.........

I will call an attorney tomorrow and see what can be done.

I thought about it but didn't really decide to put the thought into action.

I'm sure an attorney would do this for their percentage of the claim. In fact I know they will.

Thanks Joey A for the great advice.

First thing in the morning..........

Got some action tonight...........

I had a little fun tonight. A little bar table action.

One of the guys at the poolhall that I'd say would be rated a 6 in APA asked for the last 4.
I gave it to him in a race to 7. Won 7-5.

Then he asked for the break also. I gave it to him. I played pretty good and he quit.

It was fun to hit some balls when it mattered.

The down side is the headache is horrible and I've had the neck brace on ever since I got in the car to go back to the room.

Tomorrow I need to see a chiropractor , Attorney and the traffic sargent.

I'm hoping that one of these 3 will make me feel better tomorrow.

Are you working with your automobile insurance agent on this issue? Your insurance agent might be able to advise you too...as well as assist you in pursuing your claim against the alleged perpetrator.

Already did..........

Their liability to me is 10,000 medical. That's a drop in the bucket for them from the way it sounds.

No help from them or advice at all? I tried........

Gene, I like you so I'm going to provide a little unsolicited advise. Take it for what it is worth.

Your chances of finding this individual in Peoria, is about slim to none IMHO. Your chances of getting the police department to assist you is probably less than slim to none. An attorney isn't going to take this case on a contingency basis, the chances for their recovering money is slim and the amount is too small. You would have to pay the attorney fees, IMHO, to get an Attorney involved in any meaningful way.

Even if you found the person, you basically are going to have to rely on their integrity in order to get any money. The incident is long past and finding any witnesses to substantiate your story would be next to impossible.

Sorry to have to say all this and I feel for your situation. If anything were to be done, it would have had to have been handled at the time. Sadly, you were injured and not of clear mind at the time. Very bad break. At this point, it is likely best to move forward and not waste any more time attempting to recover the unrecoverable.

Just MHO. I hope you have a full recovery soon Gene.

I found out the real scoup from an attorney today...

I went to see an attorney.

I found the X Jeep Unlimited Friday night.

The traffic Sargent in Peoria just put an officer on the case. They will be calling me tomorrow to fill them in on all the specifics.

The good news is i have plenty of medical coverage.

I have uninsured motorist coverage. So I'm fine.

It's just the principle of the whole thing.

When I found this woman she was getting in her Jeep to drive and was obviously drunk. Slurring her words pretty bad.

If I don't try to take care of this who knows who would be they're next victim.

They might even kill someone.

Trying to play like this.................

Hi there John,

I did a lesson today and the day started out pretty good.

Before my real lesson I helped a young man that was 9 years old get his eyes right. Then I tried to show his mother. I had one heck of a time finding her dominant eye but we did.

The reason it was so tough she doesn't even play pool. She didn't even have a way she normally shot. It was a real challenge.

Fred has been under the weather for a while but just like the trouper he was down here working with his young student. Fred is one of those unselfish people that has given his all it seems like forever. And the wife is right by his side all the time.

They made me a member of their little slice of heaven today and gave me a key to the place.

I'm trying to play as much as I can. It looks like I might have to get some meds though. My back gets knotted up pretty bad. The neck kind of screws up the whole works. The neck gets tight and the lower back gets bad.

I broke the lower back in 2000. Had it fixed but being fixed and having it the way it was before are 2 different things.

The lesson went well as usual. Worked with Scott M tonight.

He was right eye dominant and as usual had big trouble cutting to the left.

Took a little while but soon the ball was hugging the line right and left .

The lessons are coming in pretty steady now. It turns out there are allot of pool players here in Peoria.

I sure want to play in Tunica but I don't know if I will be in good enough shape. I practice for about 3 hours and the neck and back become a mess.

Have to see.

One man a van and the road.

In the mean time I'm doing what I do best.

Need to see a doc tomorrow............

I finally need something for the pain to practice.

I tried to practice tonight but i had to quit after about 2 hours. Neck and back were just killing me.

I'll see if I can get some miracle pill that won't fog the mind. If there even is one.

Other than that I just need to get some extra ice bags and allot of ice cube trays.

I did this program with the ice for 3 months after the motorhome incident.

At least i know the program..............Now i need to get r done.
