This needs its own thread.

It was just pointed out who is playing in one (or more) of the US Open events in July. This is with the BCAPL National Championships and the BEF 25th Junior National 9-Ball Championships.

Here is the link to the fields in all 3 events. They are updated as the players pay for their entries. (Only paid names are shown).

Look at some of these names!!!
I am only listing the foreign players.
Some have never played in a US competition.
This is a unique opportuinty to see these guys.
We feel very honored

Ping-Chung Ko
Pin Yi Ko
Wu Jiaqing
Darren Appleton
David Alcaide Bermudez
Carlo Biado
Karl Boyes
Dennis Orcollo
Daryl Peach

Throw in names like SVB and Dechaine and several more from Taiwan and China and there will be some real good pool.

It will interesting to see which of the 'other' US players decide to come and play.
I know the Bonus Ball schedule conflicts with us - but there comes a point when a 'professional' pool player needs to test their mettle. We really encourage those players to try and make arrangements so they can participate.

I want to thank all of those that have signed up so our fans and spectators can see some of the quality they can look forward to watching.

Remember, all amateur players get to watch these pros for free. VIP seats are available.

TAR will be offering PPV throughout the entire 10 day Nationals (July 17-27). The Juniors will be streamed for free.
Player members can play in mini events and free practice and WATCH these matches!!! (Green fees)

I hope the tournaments become a success Mark. The promoters of BB obviously couldn't care less who they mess up for. Too bad

And azbilliards own Fan Favorite..Andrew Cleary...ha ha On a real note though I think regardless of Bonus ball it will be a successful event..David Parker..

Alcaide is a strong player, probably Spain's strongest. He has had some success in Eurotour events.

test their mettle ? I do not think the 'proffesional' players the likes of archer stricklean, hatch have to prove anythingto any one. their careers speak for them.

I think each player should decide whats best for them without any " goading or prodding " from any promoter or the peanut gallery here on azb.

There are many big names signed up. I'm hoping for even more, such as Earl, Corteza, Deuel, Morris, etc. because I'm thinking of attending the 10 ball and/or 8 ball tournaments as those are some of my favorite players

In July, we may see fields every bit as tough as the recent China Open, a field that many on this forum thought to be among the toughest ever. Best of all, this one's on our turf.

Thanks Mark for all that you and CSI do. Pleased to report I purchased my reserved VIP seat earlier this week for all three events.

Can't wait!

I will see you there.

This will be a treat for the Junior players - to get to see some of the talent we will have.
Still hoping more of the top US players jump in.
Time will tell.

We are adding $60,000 to the 3 pro events - no matter how many players are present.

Will you be able to watch the pro matched from in a Rio hotel room like what was done at the Riv? That was pretty sweet.

YES - the plan is to have the same TAR stream for all the people staying at the RIO.
This will be available 24 hours a day.

That is a free stream.
It will also be available by PPV.
The Juniors will be streamed free.

I'm pretty sure you will see all of the above!

hope efren and busti show up again too....still many of the big names missing yet....

will the players list be updated weekly or so ?

Chris-

The events are about 5-6 weeks away.
They are about half full.
I think we are about where we were in previous years ign ups.

The list of paid entrants is updated as they come in.
Go to www.playbca.com. - events drop down. - click on US Open events.
That will open a page that will show all entrants.

I expect more to sign up. I believe (for the first time) they may not fill up, time will tell.

The added money is guaranteed (total of $60,000 added).

This is a good event.
Hope to see everyone there.
