Mark Griffin & Joe Tucker

Wow.. after reflecting for a week or so about the two NEW games & leagues that Joe Tucker & Mark Griffin are hawking, those two have redesigned the way to play some Pool.

American Rotation is designed to be a new way to play an old game, 15 Ball Rotation. But it has flavoring from Straight Pool in that the new game count is carried over several games, until the winning number is reached. Very Clever.

Getting this new game into lots of Pool Rooms to begin new leagues, should be a big help to those Pool Rooms, that support this new direction, which Joe & Mark have defined.

Behind that, TEXAS BUMPS comes along & provides a great new game, that will entice new players & inexperienced players to play. They can learn to hit the cue ball straight & learn Speed Control while they are at it. They will most likely make the transformation to regular Pool, when they have reached a higher skill level.

However, this game does allow them to compete with higher skill level players, on a level playing field & in big cash out Tournaments. Joe Tucker & Stewart Gardner brought Texas Bumps to life & Mark Griffin is going to host a National Tournament at the Rio during the BCAPL National Tournament.

Below is the payout for the first national tournament at the Rio, in Lost Wages, NV

These guys are great for having done this, the Pool World might well be better off.

And the entry fee is?

Any rules for this game available - thanks

The entry fee for the Texas Bumps tournament at the BCAPL nationals is $20 or free with a $40 game set purchase. You also get a Joe Tucker $20 Guaranteed Improvement DVD if you purchase a game set.

I encourage anyone that is going to the nationals to get a game set quick and practice a bit because somebody is going to win $2,000 playing Texas Bumps, might as well be you. I know I taught some people to play while I was on my road trip and think there's going to be a couple of kids whoopin up on some pros , lol

Slowmo thanks for link and for playing!

Sounds like a neat event Joe. Good luck with it and hope to see you there.

Thanks Lenny I'm sure we'll see each other there.

I have a Texas Bummps prediction for ya;

Freezer "WTF is THAT?"

Lenny "STFU and bet something"
"Lets go, me and you fiddy a game right here, right now, EVEN UP!"

Freezer takes a slight step backwards,
crunches eyebrows,
cocks head sideways,
scratches head for a second?
"You're on but Make it $100 you nit!"

This will be a fun tournament. Because it's new, there will be some surprises...

Way to go... Joe..... Game slogan, "where the Joe's can beat the Pros"

Does Joe have any other videos/dvds on the strategies/techniques about how to play Texas Bumps?

Nope but I'll tell ya this; think like 1 pocket, move your balls down table towards your target pocket as asap too create threats but even if you do that well there's going to be a time when you are going to have to shoot at your hole and that's when it can get very funny.

Bumps is addictive. It makes you want to play again...and not stop. If you're not a top player, practice this game and you may beat a top player...it truly changes the dynamic and requires totally new strategy and skills. It levels the playing field so anybody with decent mechanics can play anybody competitively. Fear no one; play Texas Bumps.

Drawman, you are correct. I bought this game 2 months ago and have found it addictive also. Especially for those who like to challenge better pocket pool players with a little gambling on the side. It is a game where everyone can play on an even playing field. Is anyone interested in some TB action "on the side" at the BCA Show? How bout you Drawman?

American Rotation is a fantastic game. I've been practicing more and more of it lately. I really like the rules and scoring system. I'm looking forward to playing some matches soon.

The rules can be found right here:

Very similar to the game I have been trying to promote for years.

As early as 2004 I had stated

There is also the possibility of a modified 15 ball rotation game where a person gets a point per a ball

in this thread from just over 9 years ago..

I am looking very forward to someone finally trying out a 15 ball rotation game where the points do not ramp up like they do in old school rotation putting all of the emphasis on the end of the game when the balls are actually easier to run and where the score of each rack carries over to a higher grand total number.

I think he is too, the thread is about Joe & Mark developing two new games, America Rotation & Texas Bumps. Both have their place in our world.

Texas Bumps is great for starting Players or Players of different skill levels competing on a level playing field & American Rotation is gonna weed out those players with problems like playing safeties or good position or the ones that can't count.
