No matter what the amount of time the original agreement was. When the later contact was made,and broken,, to have them back at a certain time,,over and over,,,then a complete loss of contact,,on one side. And then just asking for his property back.

You got to kidding trying to defend this guy.

Im wondering if he even still has the rails??? If he did this wouldn't be happening. IMO. Just send them back,,it's easier than having to put up with any of this,,don't you think???
But that's not happening.

Glen answered this I think when he agreed to return the OP's money. Glen said he had the castings in the truck and the rails were at Diamond and he would return them (even though the OP said he would be satisfied with just the money back) both together when he got back to Diamond, which he hasn't yet.

Interestingly enough, so far you have been the only guy that saw fit to red rep me because he disagreed with my opinions. Maybe the only one to call me dumb also.
I guess every disagrees in their own fashion.Nobcitypool, for example, managed to disagree with me and green rep me in the process.

Its possible that not everybody in the world, sees things or operates just as you do.

I'm not sure I'm defending RKC's business practices or attitude. IMO, he can do business anyway he sees fit other than to steal from people. Clearly some mistakes were made here, but there was no theft, no criminal activity, no rip off (which the OP titled his thread).

Having been in business myself for more than 25 ys I agree with NOB's posting #242 I also believe that most of those who choose to defend Glenn solely because he's such a great table mechanic probably can't play the game well enough to even take advantge of how great the table may play. So now it's really just a bragging right that "Glenn did my table" There are many table mechanics out there who can do a job equal to or better than you can play the game AND do so in a timely fashion.

I have been away for a couple of days on this one...the love is pretty warm in here.

Kevin, didn't know you were into red Rep submissiveness. You definitely went up several levels in my book for that.

Highroller, be patient because the guy at Diamond who was shipping your rails 6 weeks ago will ship them Monday and you will have them by Thursday.
 
I have seen it mentioned multiple times that the table was not together when the rails were taken. I don't see how that makes any difference to the issue at hand. He started with a full table and now does not have a full table. Also do you really think it would still be disassembled all this time later if it had rails?

Just my thoughts after catching up on this train wreck...:shrug:
 
Glen is one of the driver that delivers and sets ups Diamond pool tables. What he can do is set up a Diamond pool table correctly. Diamond has spent a lot of time engineering their tables and that knowledge can sometimes be transferred to other brands. Those that claim he is the greatest have pool tables that are correct and set to Diamond standards. Being a mechanic is hard work at best and moonlighting as the real king cobra is only asking for trouble.

I'm certainly not reading every post on this matter, but someone above quoted Glen from May that said he was gonna have someone at Diamond ship the rails back. If you are gonna say what someone said back in May, please quote that post.

Glen and Diamond both have been battling growing pains for some time. They are understaffed and everyone pitches in and picks up slack where they can. Both Glen and Diamond have a great product. If you think you can get a buddy deal/brother in law deal, or whatever you wanna call it, and still be top priority from anyone who is tops in their field you are kidding yourself. This is why "deals" are getting few and far between. Try and do someone a favor and it bites you in the ass.

Glen aint ripping anyone off. When I hired Glen to re-do my table I knew it would take a while. It took about 8 months for him to get to me. I knew it going in. Would I do it again? Absolutely.

For all you flamers that enjoy jumping on the hate wagon, I'm sure this thread and the other one have provided hours of entertainment for you. Now go ahead and flame away.
