So where is the Bonus Ball annoucement?

I might as well put out what I heard...lol

I heard the players had not been paid the last two weeks but it could be more.

I heard that the investors were promised that by this time BB would have 2,000 or more weekly PPV subscribers and that the current number of weekly subscribers is 70.
So the investors have backed out and as of now BB is scheduled to take a 3 week hiatus. Personally I think the odds of more BB matches is 60/40....50/50 if you are an optimist.

Ow...I hope the reality is better than that, but what can be expected of a product that effectively nobody will buy?

I know a lot of folks have put in a lot of effort into BB, but I will be glad to have my name back:sad:

If this is true, I hope they reimburse me the money I paid for next weekend's matches.

Just becuase I don't want Bonus Ball, a CANADIAN entity, here in America doesn't mean I have a one-track hatred of Canadians. Ronnie Wiseman, a Canadian, is one of my favorite pool player of all time.

One thing does wear on my patience, though, is seeing those double quotes inside the end punctuation mark. Sheesh! It's just a character on a line.

Didn't you say you were going to drop all bonus ball whining after the southern classic if it was a success (which clearly it was, look at all of the international talent!)

Your bashing of them only because they're Canadian is pathetic.

Yes, you're friends with Greg Sullivan and you want him to do well. We all know this. Give it a rest.

Side note, how many of the American Bonus Ball players CAN'T get into Canada? You know, hypothetically saying 'we' took our ball and went home.

Don't bet on it. And if it were true it wouldn't surprise me at all. You can't maintain a business without revenue to at least equal the account payable. Simple. If their outlay wasn't so large they could maybe run at a loss for a period of time and try to build and eventually start returning value to shareholders, but like a lot of ventures in the pool world (and many not in the pool world) they might have gone too big to fast to sustain it before seeing growth.

Not economically feasible for some folks to move to Vegas. For others, it was a dream come true or maybe a nightmare that keeps getting worse and worse. Time will tell! :)

you almost got the words right," its a dream that BECOMES a nightmare for most....."

thats cool you did the Moinica Lew transcripts, she was hot (sorry) and Bill has more Teflon than the don himself did back in the day.

Todays poker tip for Keith: If it dont look good fold. dont play too many hands.

best

Jam do you watch basket ball?

Maybe they're going on the internet bubble model, where you provide a free service, operate at huge losses for a few years, and then another company buys you for a billion+ dollars, a la Instagram and Waze.

(And hello from a hoosier who spent many years playing pool in the IU-Bllomington student union.)

The funniest thing I remember from that era is when the Senate committee asked Vernon Jordan, one of the figures of that Lewinsky saga, what he had for breakfast when he met Monica at some hotel lobby. His reply was fish and grits. Yuck!

I wonder if this guy can get the thread back on track.

Based on the join date of today I wonder if someone is preparing the groundwork for an epic troll or perhaps an exercise in damage control.

Its going to be hopping around here this week me thinks.

Oh, I'm not bashing them because they're Canadian. I'm bashing them because they have injured an already-fractured American pool industry. If they were from Myramar, I'd be singing the same song.

Don't consider yourself special just because you're Canadian that I am bashing Bonus Ball. It has nothing to do with you. It has to do with this NON-AMERICAN entity coming on AMERICAN soil and paying little to no respect to an AMERICAN forum named AzBilliards by not even purchasing an ad banner. They're using this forum like a cheap whore and not even paying for the "services" after they're done.

Not really. I used to like baseball.

I didn't think you would watch it as it too was invented by a Canadian and first played in the US

That ain't why I don't watch it. I find basketball kind of boring. :o

Actually, in case you don't know, basketball is very popular in Philippines.

I do not understand why the moderators allow you to continue with your childish behaviour. You need to move on.

BLAME CANADA! LMAO - I hope you know how ridiculous you make yourself look.

I'm not blaming Canada. If BB is a Canadian entity, then I can't help it. As I stated prevoiusly, if they were from Mars, Russia, Fiji, or Hades, I'd be saying the same thing. I can't help it if Bonus Ball is from Canada. If I blame Bonus Ball for injuring an American pool industry, I would say the exact same thing if they were Made in Japan.

First it's the Bigfoot and then southern classic and now you're mad they don't buy any ad space on AZ.

You're fishing for reasons to discriminate against them but deep down inside you're mad that they have a ton of great players and because some of them are Canadian.

Pathetic. You're an adult, you do the majority of the whining.

Where are the following billiard products made? Aramith, simonis, majority of production cues. Does Greg Sullivan use strictly only US made products? Every single one? Nuts bolts rubber etc.

With the BCA events coming up, are you going to bash mark griffin for not using aramith this year? Was the new ball made in the US?
