Action is back in good ole BALTIMORE!

Thanks to my great friend Tall Paul, he calls me every once an awile when he spots some good action around town.

Where ever Cigar Tom works there will always be action around, even know he is 73 the man can still gamble and will, of course Tom works over at TOP HAT nowadays and sure enough thats where the big action is.

Jam i heard through the grape vine that LOUD MOUTH TONY is back at it again, as in Black Henry just plucked him for over 25000 playing pool.

Loud Mouth always was a top gambler at pool, he bet more in the 80s then pool players ever bet today, he just didnt know how to win (match up) but none the less he could play a little!

Loud Mouth and Vanover must of played 25 times or more with The Mouth getting the free7 ball playing two foul push during the 80s and 90s with Cigar Tom never losing 1 set to him, how strong was that, this boy could play too.

Iam glad to see Loud Mouth back in action , no one could or would out bet him in his day.

Iam sure Vanover has a pep in his step with Tony back in action!

I do like that pool room a lot. Especially since they put that billiard table in the back room. I wish it was closer to me, but at least I have family nearby and we usually go up there for thanksgiving/ xmas.

Wow! I'm bringing Keith to Top Hat. That's worth me taking a weekend off and driving to Baltimore. I know exactly where Top Hat is. ;)

Hey Jam this isnt Tony Long iam talking about, but Tony Long is great action.

This is Loud Mouth Tony from back in the day, Cant remember his last name, iam sure his last name is and italian last name.

Oh, man, I'm not sure I know who that is. There used to be a tall Italian Tony from back in Geese's day. Tall, skinny, kind of rugged face.

That would be really cool to see KEITH and you come walking through those doors, i would come out of retirerment for that.

If Keith did come out , Vanover and Keith could both get so great practice against each other.

Inmagine those 2 war horses back in action again, the whole pool hall would be in trouble!

I would pay good money just to watch Vanover and McCready pratice together!

Talk about a learning experiment!

they could even play 2foul. awww, how sweet!:angry::embarrassed2::wink::grin:

and they have some gc tables there that have subrail extensions c/o scruffy1...azbro and best mechanic in the area.

they play real good-like

I'm too smart to let Keith play Cigar Tom on Cigar Tom's home table. ;)

It would be fun to see them go in combat together. It would be an excellent match. Keith's more into one-pocket today; whereas, I'm pretty sure Tom would prefer 9-ball.

I'll give you a heads-up before we come, but don't tell anyone. I'd like to walk in there incognito. I might drop Keith off and go shopping down at the Harbor.. :grin:

Extended rails are the way to go, and scruffy1 ( John Burns ) is the man to do them!
He did my GC lll and it plays great.
Hey B-B, how you know about tables at Top Hat?....you on the "road' again?
And YES to a 2 foul pushout match with Keith and Tom!

Thats him Jam, for sure you knew him and seen him gamble more then once, Tony and GEESE knew each other and although i never seen them gambling against each other, i would bet they played and gamble with each other.

Richie, do they serve alcohol at Top Hat? I can't remember. I hope not.

And, yes, I now know who Tony is. I had no idea he was a candidate for this kind of action. Problem with people like him in the know, he may want a huge spot, which ain't fair since Keith's been out of pool circulation for a while.

But, if there's any action in the place, Keith will, I guarantee you, sniff it out. Let the games begin!

I get up there a few times a year. Got family in the area, we usually stay with them a couple times a year.

I am particularly fond of the sweet 3c table in a private area there. Plus rates are crazy cheap and equipment is very good.

It is a lot like Westmont, honestly. Focus is pool- not a sports bar at all- no booze and one can often get a game there.

They used to have a good Sunday afternoon tourney there. Anybody know if it is still on?
