"Bonus ball restarts aug 1st free stream for rest if season get behind the Philadelphia aces and your fav teams its going to be bigger and better"

Subsequent comment by Daz:

"Be lot of changes in next few weeks ... New ppl on board to take it forward ..."


I didn't find anything on the wpbltv website. Looks like the 80% of folk on my poll that gave it no chance to a coin flip - that it'd be back within 2 months - may be wrong...

I look forward to hearing what the changes will be. Maybe before you shoot a purple ball you have to do a royal flush shot and play hopscotch? ;)
 
I wonder what changes, beyond personnel, they may make. Does anyone think they may simplify the rules? Shrink the field?

Free stream for rest of season is surely going to increase exposure (which they surely need desperately if it's going to catch on).
 
It's not exactly an official statement, but WPBL tweeted that they would begin matches again on August 1. Also, their web site has been updated with the schedule starting Aug. 1, and all the same teams seem to be back.

Scott Frost has postd on Facebook that the rest of the regular season will be free to stream. thats not official either, but I think it's a good idea to make the stream free for the regular season and then charge for the playoffs. I could see myself dropping $30 or $40 to watch their playoffs and Super Bowl.
 
I will be watching i am going to buy a shirt or two. I know BB has not been the best neighbor in pool in more than a few ways but i hope it goes for the players sakes if nothing else. I honestly think it is pretty watchable. The part i like is talking amongst players on a team that adds someting to pool not seen in one on one
 
Thats good news!

Im not a businessman, but I hope that BB wil do whatever cuts that are nescessary to survive. Even if that means shrinking down players/ numbers of teams. I also hope they find cheap or free ways to market the game. Also I would seriously consider letting in teams of different countries and selling $5 daily PPV's. Im not sure how these national teams have to be formed and signed up to BB, but Id pay those bucks on a lame day, and I bet many Chinese will do so too. And yes a Phillipino team could totally rock the joint.. But they are beatable too and we'll see awesome pool. The national teams can play in the same league as the 'state teams', but chances are that players will play in their national team. In that case young statetalents get the chance to show how good they are.
 
Bonus ball is over with, it will not start aug 1, it will never start again, the whole project was a train wreck waiting to happen, Super bowl, ha ha ha, never ever ever!
