The funny thing about this business with Lou and S.M. is that when he was bragging that no one would dare play him there, he inadvertently trapped himself in a lie. He had the bad luck to have been spotted ducking on the back tables by me and Wayne. Then, in hopes of trying to distract from his first lie, Lou made up another lie accusing Wayne of not giving fair games, not realizing that Wayne is one of the very few guys well known for giving up too much weight. As Grady used to say: "now that is bad luck my friend."

I lived in Washington, DC for six years, working with the national press corps on a daily basis. And if you don't think anonymous sources (who, BTW, are guys you know and whom I would *never* give up) can't be legit, you are truly living in LA LA Land. Anonymous sources are a valid source of information and can bring down presidents. Always have, always will.
It's too bad your ego is so vast and so pathetic that you can't entertain someone thinking you're a lock artist or will not give up a fair game. Maybe you're just not as much fun as you think you are, Wayne ;-)

Do you have any idea how many times I had to answer a question that started off with, "My sources tell me..."
You don't answer that question by going, "Neener, neener, I'm not going to answer because you're using anonymous sources." Nor do you refuse to respond, threatening," I won't answer until you tell me who your sources are." You deal with the issue, or dismiss them, but you don't say the person with the anonymous sources is lying.

It is too bad your ego will not let you admit that you told a whopper and then you tried to cover it up by assigning it to your imaginary sources.
I know you were lying, you know you were lying, people who know me know you were lying, people reading this thread know you were lying. Even your imaginary sources are probably pming and emailing and calling you telling you that you are lying.

Its petty unless it happens to you. No one comes into our neighborhood, our room, with our friends, our players and denigrates them without response. I gave you a list of rooms in LA you would not dare to do it to. Koreatown, East LA , etc. What makes you think we are less relentless. That is why we get respect in LA. We welcome you wholeheartedly. We work to build a good rep and when someone makes specious and spurious (read lies) about you Its not petty.
Claims especially made safely behind a laptop. Come into our room and say that to our face and see what happens. Say we are "scared to death to play". Say we "want to make a call and send in Richie or Wayne but no one else will play". Then tell lies about our guys. See what kind of balls you got then. At least Pilot guy had the guts and amiability to apologize and try to get along with us. (Post#30 "Im sorry for bashing your room.") He at least manned up.
Scores of real players and champions have come into our room from all over the world and gotten games. We work really hard to make this a place welcoming for everyone from beginner to expert. When some little termite comes in to destroy that we call in the exterminators. It aint petty. Its our house.
Kool Kat I understand what you say. There is no need for animosity. But there is only one way to deal with Bullies and Liars. And that is to expose themselves to who they are. Even if they refuse to see it themselves.

I have never said anyone was scared.
What I said was that I had been to SM approximately 20 times and not gotten a game. I said I did not get played. I did not say I couldn't get played, but that I did not get a pick up game.

Hey Spider. People who write books don't talk about writing them or how good they write. They just write them.
I would like to clear up a few points.
1. I was the one that said everyone was scared to death. This was an Exaggeration and only half true. But It has its bases of truth.
2. HOB is one of the finest rooms in the country and I understand everyone defending the room.
3. I have played Lou several times and he is a stand up, honest guy and a Gentlemen to play. Sure he has his Opinions as we all do. Practicing on the back table must me some form ducking.
4. Wayne, next time I'm in town I'll let you know ahead of time. You were in action one of the times I was there.

I never said you lied about everything. I was very specific. You lied about me being a lock artist. You lied about Santa Monica Billiards. You lied about your numerous intell, text messages, pms and friends who said I was a lock artist. So you told a number of whoppers and assigned it to your imaginary friends. Wayne

Thanks Jim I believe I remember you and I liked your game. I know someone may have overrated your game which may have caused some problems. I am glad your experience with Lou led you to believe he is a stand up honest guy.
Just out of curiosity do you think he was being honest with his quote "Everyone in Los Angeles knows Wayne is a lock artist. Don't play him" and the fact he got this from numerous sources but has not been able to identify a single one or give a single example of where I tried to get a lock.
You know what this can do when someone gives you the reputation of trying to get an unfair game, do you think that was Lou's intent when he made up this lie?
Is it ok to be a knocker and tell lies like he did? Am I wrong to be offended by his lies?
