On The Road Again with Perfect Aim....

US Open grand Daddy of them all............

I think if you were going to pick one tournament to play in that has the most history and mystic it would be the US Open.

It's just one of them like no other.

You walk in and just look around and say WOW.

All the best players in the world are there and ready as all get out to beat everyone they play.

It's a battle of nerves and who can make the shots with all the bananas on the line. Not always the best player or the best shooter.

In most tournaments a player that wins it could count about 6 to 12 shots that would have knocked him out had he not made them.

The nice thing about this one also is it is a little stretched out so your not playing back to back to back until it gets towards the end and then it's still not too bad.

I'm excited just to be there and can't wait to compete.

I've done my best to get ready and see what i can do.

Getting some much needed rest tonight and then driving 4 hours, getting set up in the room and go hit some balls.

it can't hardly get any better than this.

Just wish I could bring everyone that I have met over the last 4 years on the road with me. You guys would all have the time of your life.

Wow that would be a tough draw I think. Kind of bad luck. I'd rather draw somebody closer to my speed or under in a big tournament like this, especially in the early rounds.
 
Got a great room.........

It's within walking distance and there is a kitchen with 2 rooms and 2 beds.

Need to get some sleep. Played a little too late the day before we left until 8:00 in the morning.

Hopefully tonight will get me caught up.

Had a good players meeting at 3:00PM.

And they assured us the money is in the bank and ready to pay out. Johnny Archer got up and reaffirmed it.

Looks like this event will be a winner again as usual.

Can't wait for tomorrow.

Good Luck Gene. Nice to get a good draw in things like these. Hope you don't draw somebody like Bartram right out of the gates.

So far the trip has been the trip from Hell.

I played too long before we left and got really wore out.

Then the drive.

Checked into a room and got a really nice room for a week for $350. Woke up at 9:30 AM with some church thing they do in the adjoining room with the drums, cymbols and allot of bass.

I kept waking up and up until it was about 11:30 AM and I couldn't believe what I was hearing. How could this motel do this?

I walked right out into the hall and complained to a maid. I thought it had stopped when all of a sudden it started it again. I went right to the front desk.

These guys were really loud and it sounded like they were right in our room.

We checked into a much smaller roon after that and it's much quieter.

The good news is I play at 4:00 PM tomorrow, Monday.

I went down and tried to play a little tonight. i played terrible. SHOCKER.

I feel terrible.

Now I have to deal with Rhea.

She wanted to go play some pool at the poolhall. i told her we need to focus on this tourny.

I got her a pass to come into the US Open. Took it back to the room. She came down and talked to some guy that told her they had a no smoking part at Q Masters so off she was to play some pool down there. he took her down there. he's probably a good guy but you never know?

This is really a bad idea and I told her that. Now I will worry about what's going on. Is she losing money? Is she OK?

I need to focus on playing tomorrow. I don't need this crap right now at this moment.

Can't wait until she comes in at 3:00 or 4:00 or 5:00 for that matter and wakes me up.

Hope she doesn't try to gamble. It isn't about her just sitting around but she could be learning first hand what it takes to win a tournament. I might not be capable of winning this thing but I know how to give myself the best chance. I've won many tournaments over my lifetime and know how to prepare.

Players that don't win do what she is doing. no disapline at all. Her going down to Q masters is like a hunter going hunting with a .22 for elephants.

Even if you find one you can't take it down. There's just not enough fire power yet.

Need to get some sleep.

Its a little hard to expect the girl to just sit there and watch you have fun. The smart thing would of been to send her with what your willing to let her lose, like 50 or something. But I'm sure not gona sit in a motel all day and night.
 
I guess you're going to see if Rhea is a player or a go off artist. All part of being on the road.
