Sunday October 27

1.00pm
Qtr Final 2 - Feijen v Immonen
Qtr Final 3 - Ekonomopoulos v Chang
Qtr Final 4 - Van Boening v Appleton

6.00pm
Semi Final 1 - Pagulayan v QF 2
Semi Final 2 - QF 3 v QF 4

Final

Of the remaining 7 players, only Appleton and Pagalayan has won it before,
Historically this has been won by non-favorites like Karol last year, Tony Drago, Alex Lely
Boening may be slight favorite to win it with his momentum after his US Open win but IMHO a week is a long time in pool and momentum can change in a week.
My bet is on Feijen or Chang to win it

Five left and they are all giants of our sport.

Semifinal 1: Alex Pagulayan vs Niels Feijen
Semifinal 2: JL Chang vs Shane/Darren winner

Someone will have to play jam up to win this.

Looks like they are not even showing this live anywhere.

Below is from the website updates.

Friday, October 25
7:55pm: Melling is through to the next round with a 8-3 victory
7:25pm: Melling has raced to a 5-0 lead and is looking in great form. Skowerski will have to come up with something special to turn this around
7pm: It's the 2013 World Pool Masters and we are in Barnsley. Karol Skowerski takes on Chris Melling in our first match

Not sure why many AZB'ers showed some anger toward Qatar 9 ball tourney, when they did not live stream the first few brackets, and when World Pool Masters decides to have no stream at all, no one said anything?? Just curious why?
Thanks.

This tournament only had 16 players, I think. Maybe because it is so much smaller. I'm not sure.

Because one is the World Championship, and the other is a little "world" invitational.

Shane and Darren is one of the great rivalries in professional pool today. Either one can win on a given day. This was Darren's day, that's all. I don't read any more into it than that.

Niels Feijen has won the event, beating Appleton by 8-6 in the final.

Congratulations to Niels.

Aw, that is great. I'm happy for Niels. I know he was disappointed at the Open, coming in fourth, but still that was a great accomplishment. At 35 years old, I know he wants to accumulate as many titles as he can while he's still hitting 'em strong. Good for him!
