Pool assumes its customers hit the sack around 5AM. With the new website, i cant get in period. Otherwise i would have missed a couple of hours for sure.

Great match

Great match! Shane gets out from anywhere! I think 1-pocket is Corey's favorite game.

I would much rather have enthusiastic announcers than this "analysis" from JJ and Cotton.

For those of you who couldn't last until 2:00 AM (Eastern), TAR is looping the entire match, until just before the match today.

Glad I was able to watch the whole thing til 1:00 AM Central.

I especially liked JJ and Cotton's commentary.

I feel Corey must win the one-pocket to make it to Sunday.
'cause I think Shane is the best 8-ball player on the planet.....
....maybe even the solar system.

I'm proud of Corey for winning the one-pocket.

I think Shane is the most professional of all the American players.

Didn't get to finish it all last night, but did wrap it up this morning before checking facebook so not to spoil the fun. There was a lot of amazing pool, and a lot of not so amazing pool. I wonder what the line will be on 8 ball tonight? does it go up since Shane is going to look to REALLY thump him, or down since Corey is in this match!!!

Not so many years ago nobody wanted to mess with Corey, now all of a sudden he cant play, BS.

All the sets will be closer then most here believe!

Playing 1 pocket Corey is 1 of the best in the world
Top 5 for sure take this from someone who plays them all

The other games Corey is not ranked as high

I will agree that Corey is a really creative player. One of the things that I was super impressed by, was Jeremy Jones commentary!! Anyone that wants to learn how to play this game the right way and get a lesson worth it's weight in GOLD, watch this match!! Jeremy describes almost every shot on what he would do and why. You can't ask for more value for your dollar than to buy this match IMO.

I think this depends on how much Corey has been practicing. I think if he has been practicing, Corey will give Shane all he can handle in the other games, and if Shane weakens just a tad, Shane might get run over.

That being said, I think Corey's main problem is, unbelievably, his creativity. I think if Corey had reigned in his creativity a bit and exhibited some patience, that he would have blown Shane out 8-4 or 8-3.

He simply couldn't resist trying some "pretty, creative shot" he had thought up. And he ended up leaving Shane a hair of a chance, and Shane shot him down that game.

It's really easy to see that Corey is competitively rusty, and his speed was somewhat bad last night. If he had been firing on all cylinders, he would have steamrolled Shane in the One Pocket.

The creative shots is what makes Corey so good
He will miss some of them but he makes a lot of shots other plays won't try or don't even see
He plays 1 pocket even with Shane or Scott frost
The other games Shane has a big edge on him

New website should have no bearing on anything. They are just direct links to the AudioVideoWeb system. Here are the links for today:

Who would have predicted Corey to win AT LEAST 1 of these 3 sets for a c-note?

That's what I was referring to Chris in agreeing with you is in Corey's offensive creativity, not his moving creativity. He's sees shots that not only others don't see, but if they did they might not attempt them. He fooled Jeremy and Cotton more than once last night. He kicks balls in which most 1 pkt players don't play some of those shots, but he makes them. He plays billiards that others don't see also.

My eyes are watering.... Must be my allergies

Lol sorry bud that wasn't a rib jab to you! I am going to drink between 12-15 beers tonight as a goal while playing some pool beating up on a buddy who just broke up with his girlfriend and moved out today (we helped him move). Being about 147 lbs I should be in prime shape around then good luck to me (carry on with the rest of todays programming)
