Im a USA fan and will always route for them. But they got what they deserved this year. No team unity, poor focus, careless play.This shows how bad off American pool is. The USA players should really take note of how the Euros play and learn a thing or two. The Euros are the best in the world at these short races, especially in a team format. I'd still take most any American from the mosconi team in a long race vs one of the Euros. I also really thought Earl was going to be great for this team, but once again he showed how he can be so cancerous. Oh well, hats off the the Euros! They played great from start to finish, great saftey play, great jumping and such precision on positional shots.
You're surprised? It's like when they gives medals to kids in school these days, just for "participating." That's the world we live in.
With the exception of SVB, on a global scale American pool is pretty weak right now. The reasons for this have already been beaten to death on AZ...

Nonsense. The current European team/teams have this format down to an art form. The Philippines could put together a strong team or two, obviously, but the Europeans being 2-1 dogs or worse? Ludicrous.
It's a shame that SVB missed the All Japan Championship to only play 2 matches in the Mosconi Cup.
