On The Road Again with Perfect Aim....

That's how the meds seem to work.......

Not saying I condone it but...have you tried smoking weed? It has shown a lot of good in stopping seizures. You can openly buy it here in Colorado and as an added benefit all of the pool halls here are smoke free

Just a few things in the news lately. There are chewables also if you don't want to smoke.

Years ago I tried smoking pot. I was about 18 years old. I got a kick out of the feeling but it just wasn't my cup of tea.

These meds I'm on kind of make me feel the same way but not as extreme. I seem to remember that years ago that people would spray stuff on the pot to different effects.

This medical pot would not have these added chemicals and if probable very safe.

My lungs wouldn't take the smoke but the edible stuff might be an option if i can't get this under control. Right now it's hit and miss but it's allot better than it was for sure.

Thanks for the links........

Found out Friday I am diabetic, blah, if you are coming to Madison area for any reason hit me up I'd like to talk to you about how you handle yours. I can put you up for a bit in Madison too

I was afraid of that................

Exercise is one of the keys. eating right is key also.

It took me about 3 years to figure it out. 3 years too long.

Just give me a call tomorrow. 715-563-8712

I'm giving a lesson but anytime after 3:00 should be fine.

Info is great but following through is the key.

Looking forward to your call.................

I really feel for you Gene.
Sounds like you have your hands full with just coping with day to day issues right now.
I don`t know what kind of medical coverage you got, but it seems to me you should get this sorted out and focus on regaining your health. Get plenty of sleep, eat right and work out.
I know it`s hard for a pool player, but establishing a regular rythm where you go to bed early and get about 8 hours of sleep is key - no more playing at night!

Hey Geno, At least you have some inclination as to what is going on with your health that's certainly a step in the right direction. I think we are pretty close in age so we both know that the sun is setting on the days were we can play at a high level. I had an issue with my right hand shaking when I was under pressure while playing in tournaments and important league matches. It never seemed to happen while I practiced or was just shooting for the enjoyment of playing. Finally I went to a neurologist and he diagnosed it as basic early tremors and prescribed Propanolol which is a beta blocker. The first time I played in a tournament while taking the medicine it was like I played 20 years ago. No nerves, no shaking right hand. Honestly it was good news even though long term it's not but at least it was not Parkinson's. If your ever down here in Chicago let me know so I can stop in and say hello. Take Care of your health everything else is number 2!

My similar tremor has been under good control for 20 years now, by using a good, balanced B-Complex. Not the cheap crap. Use enough to keep your pee yellow.

It's hard to be mellow
When your pee ain't yellow.

Beta blockers aren't so good overall, imho.

Got out and about today...........

Went to Minneapolis and got in some action. Gave a guy the 7 8 wild on the 7' diamond and won $360 pretty quick.

My vision got a little blurry on the drive home so I took another pill. The Doc in Virginia had told me that my dosage would have to be adjusted. i can see when I need one just with my vision.

I'm going to Oshkosh this weekend to play in the Varsity Club $1000 added 8 ball tourny. If I shot like i did tonight I expect some good things to happen over there. Should be fun.

Got a whole bunch of lessons to do here at home. I won't be able to get back on the road until Jan 13th for sure.

I miss having Rhea around. it seemed like i was always giving her hell but she needed it most of the time.

Once she gets something to get on the internet there should be some entertaining stories for sure.

I'm filling up spots right now for the days that I'm going to be home.

Anyone that wants to learn Perfect Aim call me as soon as you can.

715-563-8712 Thanks everyone...............

.I actually use fake glasses to train players to establish the correct head position

Hi there CJ,

It's fun to read your stuff on here. You've been there and done it all. Including coming to Eau Claire on a road trip when you were fairly young.

It was the first time I had ever seen a player jump a heavy red dot dynamo cue ball over a full ball consistently with a full cue.

It's kind of neat to see where we are now. Your doing what your doing which is great. I'm doing my thing.

I came here to Dallas to kind of heal up from a pesky ear infection. Staying out of the smoking poolhalls so it kind of limits my stops.

I'm leaving Wed.

It seems everytime we could talk I was either giving a lesson or one of us was playing or going to play.

We've both had poolrooms so we have looked at this pool world from the inside out and the outside in.

I enjoy the respect that players here on the forum have for you.

Good info you share and consistently correct. .

Good to have you on the forum and congrats as the Mosconi Cup leader.

Welcome back.........

Thanks, Gene, I still remember playing up in your area....that was 30 years ago....how time flies. I learned to jump the heavy ball with a full cue from hearing about "LIL Earl" doing it. I was with Dalton Leon and he described it and showed me the best he could (he had trouble with the shot).....I practiced the shot until I could do it consistently.....I always had a knack for "jacked up" shots, so the jump shot was pretty natural.

We'll get together and compare notes one of these days. I still don't know exactly what your "Perfect Aim" system is, but I've heard several players talk positively about it. Rodney Morris described it pretty well to me and I did start concentrating more on my head position after Tunica.....I actually use fake glasses to train players to establish the correct head position (square to the line of the shot).

Keep up the good work, Geno.....I'll see you down the road one of these days.

Off to oshkosh today with my son........

With me being on the road I've not had many chances to go to tournys with my son.

This Christmas will be different.. His birthday is the 21st and the timing couldn't be better.

This is what pool is all about on the local level. Sharing time with family and friends.

Being able to spend time with my son doing something we both enjoy is priceless.

I also want to say a special thanks to all the silent Santas on AZ. You all know who you are.

Very special people to say the least.

Merry Christmas...

See you all at the Varsity Club in Oshkosh this weekend.

My vision got a little blurry on the drive home........

I noticed that also. I've been enjoying this thread since it started, and now all I can think is that I really hope Gene's seizures continue to happen only at convenient times. If one were to happen while he's behind the wheel of a car...

Well, that would be a shitty way to end a great "On the Road" story.

I agree for sure.........

The chances of having a violent one during the day are slim to none. Nocturnal Seizures are just that nocturnal. I have never hed a violent one during the day.

Sometimes when I'm down one a shot my eyes will roll to the top for about a second. This might be a seizure. Need more tests to find out. see the Neuro on 31st of Dec.

For now I'm living life to the fullest and doing what I love and doing it with my son.

It don't get any better than this.

One man a van and the road......Merry Christmas........................

Great tourny with some great players..........

Congrats on winning today against wisconsin's finest.

Jeremy West has really done a great job providing a special place for the pool players. Can't say enough about how great the place looks.

again it was fun to see all my old friends and to play some pool.

Got home OK. The roads are really snowy and slippery. Hope everyone else made it home OK.

The best part for me was spending some time with my son at a good pool tournament. And this was one of the best.

Merry Christmas...to everyone.....and Thanks......

Merry X-mas Geno!

Question...is your boy still playing football?

Heading to Shooters..........

Got some sleep after the Tourny at Varsity Club in Oshkosh.

All I needed was 7 hours of sleep and I'm ready to go again.

These meds to stop the seizures is the dead nutz.

I felt like I was going to win the tourny both days. never lost a match and had some of the best players there in Wisconsin.

need to play at Shooters tonight. It's their weekly tourny but just need to play to stay sharp. Might even gamble if someone will play.

I always bring a Perfect Aim lesson along with me so just give me a call or stop in and I'll get you playing better than ever in a real quick hurry.

715-563-8712 ready and Raring..................

Merry Christmas Everyone.............

Hope everyone has a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year to follow.

Meeting players and traveling around the country is the best. Can't wait to get going again.

I will be going to the Derby for sure. got some big cash games along the way.

Just want to say thanks to all the players that I have met everywhere.

The great thing about being a pool player is that if your looking for a friend just go to the pool hall. Every time you turn around you can see another friend.

Kind of like if every time you reach in your pocket you could pull out a $100 bill.

And if you don't see a friend right away you can make a new one in a real quick hurry.

It don't get any better than this. HO HO HO

Merry Christmas

My Christmas joke..........

What are 3 men that go HO HO HO.......??????????????????

Santa Claus

Jolly Green Giant

Mel Tillis......

For those of you that don't know mel, he was a country singer. He stuttered real bad but when he sung it just came out Perfect.

One day Mel was looking for a room. He said he needed to find a ho ho ho hotel room.

:thumbup::rolleyes::p:D

Merry X-mas Geno!

Do you know why Santa Claus doesn't like to visit the ghetto?

Because every time he says Ho Ho Ho he draws a crowd! :)
