itrader

If something isn't done about the negative itrader that I received unjustly - I will not feel safe ever doing it again. That means that other members will not be protected. It's too bad. Then other members will not feel safe - and that is contagious. Then we are all screwed! All the mods have to do is look at the date that I left the itrader - then when he left his out of retaliation. That will tell the story. He had plenty of time to leave one after the deal, but he didn't - BECAUSE HE GOT PAID exactly what he was supposed to. But I didn't get what I was supposed to. It's pretty simple. He only left me negative itrader because I exposed him.

I think he needs to get banned over this. What he did was definitely shady and could be seen as fraud and he used AZBilliards as a tool to commit it against you.

He has then further shown that not only does he have no intention of making things right, he has chosen to hide and not come forth and answer to his part to play in this. He has clearly been online and on AZBilliards as he gave you the negative rep and he has almost certainly seen the thread and chosen to remain mute over this accusation which seems to imply his guilt and unwillingness to make it right.

I am not sure what AZBilliards gains by having an active member who does something like this. By letting this one go he is now more then likely to do it again. The mods need to do their mod thing against his account IMO.

I reported this, asking them to remove it. No idea if this will help or not. It's certainly not fair that you end up getting screwed by the seller and also are left holding the bag with a negative iTrader. After all you made payment and fulfilled your part of the deal.

But.....I'm sure that others that see this will take a second to read the background here and see what happened, so it shouldn't affect you in the long run, imo.

He wouldn't respond to anything on this thread. He wouldn't take the time to call me or contact me in any other way (email, text, etc.) but this nutless wonder will give me negative itrader after sending me only a butt that is bad enough that I wouldn't even be able to sell it to recoup part of my money.

Pics of your ugly butt?

great condition - "you really have to look for dings" he said

Here are just a few of the issues... sledge1.jpg

Those are pics I took with my cell phone. The surface of the entire butt feels stippled to the touch. I would need a better camera to be able to show the roughness of the finish in larger areas. That was the best I could do with quickly with my phone.

That's total garbo. Did he tell you it was beat to death or just lightly played:eek:
I know here isn't much you can do, but could never understand why anyone
would want to destroy there rep over a piece of wood.
Try to look at it in a positive light, that somebody was in desperate times
and you've helped them out.

I wouldn't want the junk cue if it was free the previous owner beat the hell out of it.

op;

can you pls post exactly what the conversation was from the seller regarding the condition? And was this in a thread here or all by text?

between the responses you got about him not doing the right thing because of his job situation, that coupled with his lack of response here, the *missing* shaft, and now the condition of the butt, clearly, your rep should be reinstated back to 100%.

I think the mods will appreciate the importance (and fairness) for someone who has worked hard at maintaining a perfect itrader, for them not to lose any of their good standing over having had the misfortune of dealing with a shady and vindictive character as Brain71 appears to be.

GL with getting your iTrader restored. I would agree that you more than held up your end of the deal very honorably.

best,
brian kc

I'm not sure why you are going bonkers over this.

You got a good butt and people pointed you in the right direction to get a shaft...cheap.

I don't know of any seller who returns the money first, then you send back the product.
I always get the product back then return the money. Seller maybe prefers not to use PayPal to avoid getting a 1099K form from PayPal in January.

The condition of the butt, well you are paying for the brand name---Sledgehammer and it is just a break cue butt. If you are worried about the dings, they can be filled in, fixed at a cheap price if you know the right person.

The ITrader to me...I just don't think it's that big of a deal. Especially if you were the buyer and not the seller ripping someone off.

At least you have the butt and not an empty box or the package didn't get lost. Guess you could say it got damaged in shipping and it wasn't packed right.

I buy, sell cues every day and of course I get good deals and some bad deals, but I sure will not come on here and cry about it. I get brand new top name brand cues with problems all the time, but that is between me and the seller. I'm not going to drag these people through the mud because of it.

I think in your situation------it's over and you need lick your wounds and move on. Get a shaft, get the cue refinished and you'll end up having a new SledgeHammer cue.

I'm not taking one side or another but----shoot, this is part of buying and selling.
I think you should just put all this behind you and be satisfied before you have a heart attack. It's just not worth it to be so bent out of shape over this.

Just get over it?

So I should just get over it, huh? I started a thread stating I wanted an old Sledgehammer break cue. I sent out the money immediately via postal money order. I received a BUTT. So I have the shock of holding half a cue, that is not what I asked for, and in addition - beat up worse than any cue I have ever owned. I asked to reverse the deal because I was not happy. He said no. So you are telling me that I should have spent more money to send it back to him, not get my money back (because he stated that it wasn't going to happen) and have no item at all - and no proof? And you think I should have someone work on the butt at my cost? That is brilliant... Then there is the part where he rubs it in my face with "sorry you have buyer's remorse" and gives me neg itrader. Incidentally - I spoke to another member that Brain71 had contacted in the same week that he told me that I wasn't getting my money back, because he lost his job and needed the money. Ole Brain71 told this other guy to hold onto an item for him and he would be sending the money soon. See - that's the problem, others get hurt in the following chain of events if we members don't alert others of the screwings that we incur.

He got his money - I want my itrader fixed. THEN I will let it go. I learned my lesson. The one thing I will say is - I saw a member get banned for making a racial slur on this BILLIARDS site. A site where things are described, money changes hands, and people report the quality of the business deals conducted. So should there be some type of action when a BILLIARD deal went bad - and there was no refund, then the seller mocks you over it because he thinks he got away with it?

When my itrader is fixed - I will let it go. I made my point. People are aware. I did my part to help other members be aware or it. But when someone is considering doing business with me and wants to check me out before doing so - I don't want there to be a black mark on my reputation and character. I work at a law enforcement job, and I am a traditional karate teacher (for 31 years). My reputation and honor mean a lot to me. The loss of money is one thing - but I will not allow the loss of my CREDIBILITY...

Sometimes its not just about the money. He was sold a cue that is missing the shaft. The butt that he did receive is in terrible condition. On top of that the person gave him negative itrader, which will reflect poorly in future transactions.

Where I come from that is good reason to make a tread and try to get the negative itrader removed. It is also a good reason to warn other people on this forum.

It sounds like you are friends with this dirt bag.
