Where is Chopdoc

I was wondering if anone has heard from him and knows how he's doing? I know he was pretty busy with his new job and all that, but I was just wondering about him.

I sent him a KU bumper for his Joss and asked him to PM me when it arrived.

Never heard back from him.

And Poof, he was gone.

Crazy that he befriended us just to pull that bumper for himself.

Seems kinda elaborate, specially for a freebie, mr soze

Really, did I imply that.

We used to keep in touch fairly often and I was stating that was the last time that I was in contact with him.

When I had sent him the bumper and asked for a PM back, it just happened to coincide with him disappearing from the board.

Maybe something happened during the KU bumper installation.
Not to think bad thoughts, but that could be a tough install on a Joss cue.
Hope he's OK, I could use his medical expertise since I just had 2-stents installed in some arteries this week.
KU bumper install vs. angioplasty, could be a tough call on which one is harder to do><

He said that he had a Joss with a brown bumper that needed replacing.

I didn't ask any questions beyond that.

maybe i can fill in for him. keep taking ur aspirin and plavix. don't miss a day because that puts you at risk of clotting off your stents.

don't smoke, take you cholesterol pills and your blood pressure pills, that overall lowers your risk of heart attack and death.

take a walk every day.

hope that helps. i'm serious about the plavix and aspirin, btw

You are so insensitive

And now he could be lying in a ditch bleeding to death. All because you didn't ask a couple of follow up questions.

IIRC chopdoc had his own website and a forum on cue collecting. You might be able to dig around on his old posts and find the web adress.

he became pretty friendly with that prulheire guy and joined his website as a moderater i believe.

chopdoc got me visiting there a few times and he was always on it.

i have not visited that site in a long time and forgot the name of it.

i have thought about him a few times myself. hope he is doing ok.

Thanks man,

The Plavix and Lipitor I'm taking has some side effects, especially the Lipitor.
The worst one is this phantom joint pain which they warned me about, but it's really annoying.
If I call my cardiologist they'll put me back in the hospital, which was like being in jail, only the food was a little better, and the girls were better looking.
I could only order food with the little red heart next to it, and I tried to order a bbq bacon cheeseburger three times but they wouldn't bring it.

If you have to go back in to the hospital call me. I will smuggle a bacon cheese burger in.
Why are you up at 2:45 AM?
Is it what I told you about my Sniper tip keeping you awake?
Or are you standing guard on the rubber bumpers?

I could use Chopdoc's expertise on dealing with a cue accessory kleptomaniac, more than my heart issues.
Doug was at Felt yesterday, do you know where your bumpers are?
In an hours time he could pilfer a lot of bumpers, even house cues aren't safe around him.

Doug was refinishing an old Gale Clark sneaky Pete for a customer, cue is worth about $150 max.
The cue had a makeshift bumper that was larger than the butt diameter, and stem was a little too small so it had tape on it.
Doug took the bumper off of my custom cocobolo Gale Clark, and put it on this POS sneaky because it looked better, leaving my cue with this weird looking odd sized bumper.
Even though he was thinking about buying my cue and didn't see the problem, I told him I'm not selling it now, and get that ****ing bumper back.
In the Denver area, that cue is collectible.
Now I ask him all the time if he has any friends that need a bumper off of any of my cues, or an extra Kersenbrock shaft, and don't even get me started about this guy around j/p's.

I will spread the word at Felt that we all have to super glue our bumpers in.

Your avatar looks like you and Tokyo Dave.

Here's another one.
A few years ago Doug was getting into refinishing cues, so I gave him an old Meucci Original to practice on.
One day I was walking around his building to the front, and I found the brown rubber bumper from my Meucci in the road outside his balcony.
I'm telling you that no cue accessory is safe around Doug, and now that I think about it, he still has 3 or 4 of my cues.

The Avatar is me and Tokyo Dave.
Melissa Little ran a bar table 9 ball tournament and I won and Dave came in 2nd. She took the picture of us holding our winnings with the hope of getting it in the Cue Times.
