The line she runs at big APA events selling hugs, pics, shirts etc for 20 and up is the bomb. Pulling in 1000 plus an hour.
Shes the most recognizable name in pool making a living doing it. Good for her. Promiting APA doesnt support the pool I want, but leagues keep poolroom doors open.

Oh I know she gets paid but hell can u blame her? Apa wants too pay me too do what she does I'd do it most would but all that money she loses trying too gamble with her pool game she got too do something lol

hell no !! lol Apa players get mad when they say how she LOVES apa and I say dude she loves the money she gets from apa lol If they parted ways tomorrow and Tap hired she would suddenly LOVE tap! (but so would I if I was getting paid!)

Another example of this only happens in pool. every other sport is allowed to have athletes paid to represent their product, but they don't get shit on a forum because of it.

Second, you can only possibly pay someone to say they actually like the apa :)

Disrespectful title aside, it's clear that Jeanette Lee has been an asset to the game. She is beautiful, articulate and has run over 100 balls in 14.1, all pluses. But I just never liked her attitude. Back in the old Chelsea days she was being backed by Blood and would annoy the heck out of me with offers to play 9 ball (asking for the 6). That continued for a couple years and so I avoid her and lost some respect for her. She showed up some years later at Amsterdam Billiards on the upper west side. She approached me to say hi, and I walked away. In hind sight maybe that was the wrong thing to do, since it appears she left the attitude behind for a successful career. Jeanette if you're reading this now, kudos to you for having a family and growing into the role model you are today. Take the above for what it's worth, but I'm going to bury it.

WPBA U.S. Open, Norman, Oklahoma...about 4 or 5 years ago...Jeanette Lee doing PR work giving FREE photo ops...me standing next to her, my arm around her waist...person taking picture having trouble getting camera to function. Did I remove my arm from around her waist while waiting on the cameraperson to get their sh*t together??? Heck no.........best minute and a half I had spent in a long time!!!

That's good to hear....

After two days of seeing the thread title, and after walking away from the game for a good 15 years to raise my two daughters 110%, has put this ''attitude'' in my head when it come to demeaning women. It's something my mind doesn't accept Anymore. I only responded to the Thread Title. I was more surprised that the thread patrol left it alone.

She went from NY to be mentored by Bob Hunter in Northern CA/NV. She came down to the South Bay pool hall in El Segundo with Bob for a photo shoot...she was hot but flat.

She came down to the Hard Times in L.A. and made $$ enough to be flat no more.:thumbup:

I remember Vividly :eek: seeing her for the first time at the US Open in 91 or 92 before she met Bobby Hunter. She wore a one piece White (Jimmy Reid white:) mini skirt and sashayed around the room with a style and way, that the other women had yet to tap into in the pool room....pretty sure she was living in NY at that time.
