Why wasn't Rodney allowed to be a spectator?
Now since were all going to type stupid shit and make loud noises, I'm going to post some non-sense, big pictures, and other useless things to couple this thread with, much like fine wine and kraft singles...
A few things we all agree on.
Rodney is a pro of some sort.
Rodney not playing pool sucks for us as fans, and sometimes for him.
Rodney can MAYBE fix this, but doesn't appear to want to. (He don't play that shit homie.)
Rodney is going to start his own pro tour............................
o yeah, Mark G. is the devil. He's hell bent on taking over the pool world, then the actual world, then the universe. <<< Emperor Palpatine style homie!

I don't think "disdain" or "loathe" is strong enough for what's been going on this forum in recent times as they pertain to Rodney Morris. "Hate" seems to fit the bill. Half the members who are voicing their dislike for him don't even know the whole story of what happened, but they are piling on threads adding their 2 cents as if what is written on this forum is gospel.
Meanwhile, let's put the spotlight on a few of those members of Team Europe, some of this forum's pool purists' golden boys, and see what unfolds when the truth is written.
Oh, and it's coming soon. Stay tuned.
Why wasn't Rodney allowed to be a spectator?
I don't know.
Why would someone feel the need to show up at a venue where they know that they are definitely not welcome.
Myself, if I were ever to be banned from entering a certain bar, that would be the last place that would be on my mind to show up at.

Taunt the promoters perhaps.
Look at me, I'm here. You might have banned me from playing but I can still walk thru the doors.
Ummm, actually, no you can't Rod, cya.
Surely it will be that eyebrow ring first?
I like that eyebrow ring.
JAM we all know you are Keith McCready's biggest fan in the world and you ALWAYS have an opinion on something pool related. Heck you may be the biggest women pool fan I've ever seen from what I read on some of your post. But the picture you have of Keith under your name is about as feminine as it gets for a man's pic. Keith was a Warrior, not a fairy trying to catch the next rainbow. Do your hero alittle more justice and put up a pic that's shows him looking somewhat more masculine.Seeing him look like a fairy princess is sad. I'm sure Keith would appreciate it.::wink:
Well said. Thanks for speaking up for someone who's recently been getting verbally tarred and feathered on this fourm. That thread with over 45,000 hits on it about Rodney is over the top. It is quite sad to see how happy it seems to make some members to continue to rip Rodney Morris apart. Of course, most of them are the same ones who like to contribute to flame threads and flame others for the pure sport of it. The pack mentality of bullies who like to stick together can play together on this forum. If they get banned, they just come back with a new identity.
Come here Rod, I want to show you something.
Whats that?
The door.
As a fan I usually (with the exception of Mosconi Cup) enjoy watching the Rocket take flight. One of the most enjoyable matches that I have watched at the U.S. Bar Table Championships was Rodney Morris vs. John Morra a few years back.
It seems to me that the original disagreement was a simple difference of opinion.
Rodney’s opinion seemed to be that he felt players of his calibre should be given special treatment in respect of late fees. Mark’s opinion was that all players who enter should be held to the same rules regardless of skill level. Rodney was wrong to feel entitled to special treatment and to let that feeling of entitlement be his guide in how he expressed his opinion.
Differing opinions, expressed with respect, need not become personal. It becomes personal when the parties decide to “punish” each other in order to be right. At that point there are no winners. I hope that this can be resolved as men of good will should resolve things and Rodney returns to participate in this and other CSI events.
That said, as a fan I know that my enjoyment watching will not be lessened by any of several professionals who are not in attendance as there is still a great line up and I will be watching as much of the tournament as I can.
Neil, I have never said one bad thing about MG. In fact, I have applauded his efforts numerous, numerous, numerous times.
Call me an "extremist," if you will, but I stand by my convictions on this topic. I have been slammed, bashed, tag-teamed, and trolled because of it, but I won't be dissuaded.
Discussion of the sequence of events is one thing, but some of the posts written on this topic have been over the top. It is because of this reason, I have stepped in to voice my thoughts.
If you don't like Rodney Morris, fine. Everybody is entitled to their likes and dislikes. I just wish people would confine their remarks to facts and voice their opinions as such. When opinions are expressed based on fabrications and embellishments, therein lies the rub.
I have no problem with people expressing their opinions on Rodney's actions, everyone has a right to what they think. The only thing that bothers me are the personal attacks on him. I think it's safe to say that what people on here are saying isn't bothering Rodney in the least.![]()
