I remember when the Persians and Arabs first started pouring into Beverly Hills there was a fabulous huge zillion dollar estate right on Sunset Bl. The mansion was set way back from the street and what was presented to the public was a huge ornate concrete wall which was topped by quite a few statues. Apparently in the Middle east the custom is to paint statues, which the new owners did, right down to highlighting the pubic hair. The citizens were up in arms and made life miserable for the new owners. They moved out and later the place mysteriously burned down. Nowadays Beverly Hills has a decidedly Middle eastern feel.

I guess the Chinese have opted for Orange County.

I'm not a big fan of French Antique Furniture, but Ormolu is for sure the height of style in Beverly Hills. Different strokes for different folks. And, no, I loved the house, but didn't care at all for the furnishings or the art. I would have hoped that I could have walked in there and loaded up, but for me, not only was the place not to my taste, but he had little that fit my business.

It appears his new wife liked Swarovski figurines. I would have preferred huge Lalique vases. He had some Christofle flatware, I would have preferred Sterling, his was plated but a good pattern but it looked like his maid (or whatever) took some steel wool to it. Its hard to find good help nowadays.

Trudeau knew it was coming. I wouldn't be surprised if he moved some stuff out of there.

JAM, I know you look at what he did for a select few pool players. But multiply the number he helped by 10 and you probably are getting close to people KT hurt. I know folks that quit jobs to chase down the bunny trail and ended up much worse than they were before KT.;)

I think you may have missed my point. There are prominent pool people who have done far worse than Kevin Trudeau, yet these pool people are put on a pedestal and considered "good guys," even though their wealth was gained in a manner far worse than Kevin Trudeau's informercials and books. Far worse!

In fact, some of the strongest Kevin Trudeau haters are the very ones who seem to think these other people are good guys.
 
He dresses nice but holy cow he has the decorating taste of an 85 year old woman.

I had no idea he was in trouble and in jail......I must be doing something right.

I know it has to be legal but how does it work out that of you dont tell a judge what he wants to hear you stay in jail till he changes his mind? I've seen the tv cliche where a reporter won't give up his source and spends time in the klink but never heard of something like this where the attorney the .gov hired to sell his shit can tell a judge "Hes not helping us" and the guy is locked up. Sounds pretty North Korea to me though I have no doubt its the law of the land somehow.

And the most awesome thing about this whole thing is that the firm hired by the .gov to find and liquidate his assets have found 2.5 mill which will supposedly go to the people who bought his weight loss book. AFTER the law firm takes their fee which is currently at $680,000. I want to get in the business of taking other peoples shit, selling it and keeping 27% for my trouble.

Sounds like Trudeau got out crooked by professionals.

I understand your reaction from a certain standpoint, but he isn't being held because he "won't tell the judge what he wants to hear". He is being held because it was decided in a trial that he owes several million and isn't paying....and there is a pretty obvious evidence that he has money squirrled away and is clearly hiding assets that could be used to pay that obligation. This isn't a first amendment issue, this is a criminal issue. He owes people money and isn't paying.

It makes no diff JAM. He got caught, others may get caught later, or maybe never. But the "defense" can't be, well Joe Blow did this and did not go to jail. No difference when you are speeding, with a few guys just as fast ahead of you. You are last in the line of speeders, (the slow gazelle you might say) and he's gonna eat you for lunch.

But I doubt the "other" pool players have scammed at the shear magnitude as KT. Heck, he was warned and warned again by the gubmit not to make "false claims", but he did it anyways.

Here's a tip to KT, when the gubmit says we are on to you, we know what you are doing, and if you keep doing it, we are gonna take you down, maybe next time instead of sticking his tongue out at them, he just heeds their advice, and retires comfortably in his mansion. I think he has some sort of disorder, who would do this and throw everything away just to be able to buy a few more ugly trinkets :)

PS: His Chicago home goes to auction this spring. I will try and buy a trinket or two for a keepsake :)
