1p- what's the shot? I am stumped

Take a foul. I like the two and seven trying to freeze up on them. It requires a good touch. If you execute it and he takes a foul then you accomplished having him go to 9 balls or more if you take a second foul. If he leaves the cue ball there then you might have a safe kick into the 9 ball. I like to play unlimited fouls and then just rack up the balls owed. Those games are winnable.

Im not a 1p player, but is slow rolling into the 5 ball to freeze the cue to the side of the 12 an option?

Ahh...I don't think the woul be a good choice, hr banks the 2 or 7, sticking you there.

I think it would be better to roll cb between 3&4, given that the 7 doesn't bank.

I still prefer the end rail though. The shot above likely puts you back un that rail, whereas putting the cb back to its pre-foul spot is very hard from the end rail.

Wind up and hit the stack as hard as possible, and just after you hit the cue ball holler SHIT!!!!!! as loud as possible and hope you pocket a ball in your pocket or get safe......if you don't like this option, continue reading please. :) In Texas this is known as shoot and holler shit, or poke and hope.
Since the cue ball is so close to the rail trying to hold the cue ball on a ball in the rack after trying to bank a ball onto your side of the table is going to be extremely difficult. Me, I'm taking Fast Lenny's approach as this was my first thought. Playing one hole, you have to be willing to take intentional scratches when your opponent has you by the short hairs. In this case you had youself in a hum dinger.:grin-square:

I THINK THIS IS A STRONG/AGGRESSIVE SHOT AS WELL. I SAID SOMETHING SIMILAR TO THE SITUATION BY USING THE 5,6, AND 9 BALLS. MIGHT HURT YOUR OPPONENT BY DOING THIS. :D

To me, taking the intentional foul only buys time. What if your opponent intentional fouls and puts you back? You do this twice and you're on two, now what? (still learning myself). I probably would shoot the 5 off the 6, making the 9, and bringing the cue ball 2 rails out of my pocket side and bringing the cue ball to the 'intentional foul' position/area. With a power shot like this, you might send balls to your side and 'flip' the break on your opponent or you might sleep in the street (lol). I think getting out of anyone's break like this is no picnic. Patience is the key here.

I think it's probably the best shot ,reason if you get balls to your side it changes what he can do . Then maybe you get a chance at removing the nine .
Get balls to your side ,put the cb up on the rail, you got a chance.

Unlimited fouls do make the game winnable. Years ago in NoCal I played a game where my opponent had three balls to the good and all of the remaining balls were near his pocket and I was corner hooked at the other end of the table on his side of the table.
I took a number of intentional fouls and made him put up the balls he had plus owe a few more. I then pushed the cue ball to what I felt was the hardest shot for him (which was really an easy shot). Well he missed it and the game lasted a while but I won that game.
He's backer then pulled up and told him that if he couldn't win that game he couldn't win any games.
Of course in tournament play the three foul rule is used to keep that scenario from happening and to speed up the game.
